Crunchyroll played the old 'Bait and Switch' scam: They PROMISED a hologram show, but gave us a 100'' LED TV instead. It was my first Hatsune Miku show, and I was sorely disappointed because NO HOLOGRAMS. But that's not all: most of the decent merch was sold out by some arsehole saying: 'Hurry up and buy your stupid s*** so I can go home!' AND I had 'VIP' which got me a tote bag, some stickers, and a phone pog.

I think those who were expecting Miku to appear on a transparent screen were disappointed. But please understand that Miku is originally a digital star, so the Miku that appears on the LED is also Miku. The world and music you saw and heard at the venue were real.
Да, но популярность она получила как голограмма. У меня дома телик больше метра. Я такие концерты могу давать хоть каждый вечер... Не брат, этотне концерт Miku это развод ЛОХОВ на $ 😂

They just needed a bigger TV, a background, and to hide the edges. Thats all and no one would have minded the TV as much.
it wouldn't even look that bad if they didn't have blaring lights behind the screen at all time, that's what makes it so obvious. that and the fact the screen is soooo far forward 😭
there was one show where they did push it back and it looked even worse because they didn't adjust the lights, so the screen blocked most of it making it even more prominent 😭😭 and at my show in Tempe, the bass rattled the screen so much it broke

I've heard the stage setup was a little better in the San Jose concert yesterday, so maybe it'll be better for the rest of the tours. (still a screen obviously)
The San Jose venue had speakers to the sides of the stage, so it was actually a little bit worse from certain angles. The San Jose venue also had screens to the sides that the event made no use of. Still had a good time.

I feel like holograms and TV screen barely makes any difference, do people not like seeing without holograms? I've heard of many backlash and disappointed fans.

@@glistica just type any miku song you like with "concert", and watch it. then compare the size. normally, the hologram takes the whole stages place. the video here is someone whos in the middle, so even if its small, its not THAT bad, but think about all of the people who are at the left and at the right, who litteraly see just a part of the screen, which is really low quality.
By the definition of giant, it wasn't that big, but not normal size either. It was decent for the price of $100, anything above is too much since it is mostly just paying the band and light. Not the Miku expo experience I want, but it was ok. Disappointing but ok
yup and at my show the screen broke,, they said it was because the bass rattled it too much. The atmosphere of the concert was really good but def not going until the hologram is back lol
