Drifting was obviously not the intention of this video, just a bit of sliding at the end of the day. Funny enough, the tire screeching tripped sound on the last run to make this the first Tesla to break the sound limit over 96dB. 😅

Got the opportunity to take this beautiful Mustang Dark Horse for a spin! The improvements made in the pony cars platform over the last few years is amazing. Good enough for 2nd PAX (corrected to FS) to the ever-impressive Kyle Gottschalk in his badass Talon. #mustang #mustangdarkhorse #darkhorse

GoPro overheated on my best run which was a couple tenths quicker. Runs were very similar with the exception of the area between sectors 6 & 7 (the left-hander heading towards the finish section) where I got into a bit of ice mode on this run and washed out wider than I would have preferred.

What sway bar are you running?
@@terrorbird4022 26mm Whiteline on the softest setting.
lol thank you for showing what to buy in 30 seconds
That looks like so much fun!
@@afromikeracing It really is! Hate that my Gopro got a little wonky, wish it had been facing up a bit more. Oh well. lol
where is the drifting?
it was a question not a statement.
"Drifting" was clearly not the intent here, but literally turning right at 1:48 and going left. lol The car was in a constant state of yaw from 1:43 all the way through the finish.
Love the M12 as it doesn’t take much space and airs up my tires just fine. 👍🏻
This looks insanely fun lol
It was a freaking blast! Wish I had turned smoothing off on the gopro, it was so much more hectic IRL. 😂
Thanks buddy straight to the point, I hate these idiots that just keep on jabbering on for no reason shouting out to race crew and all that stupid shit
So smooth it looks slow. A mere 2 seconds faster than my fastest time. Congrats on Top PAX/PRO
@@BestUnderPressure lol Thanks bud. Charles and I have talked about it before that generally the more boring your run looks, the better it is. 😅
i am on my second m12 compressor , first got replaced by warranty, head split inside, like someone here said gets job done, but very slow .
If you grab the adapter for a decent clip on conversion; these 2 are handy if you own multiple vehicles as example. But the screw on type can get frustrating after a few tires ;)
@@hitm4n1985 Yep, been using the Jaco quick disconnect for most of the time I've owned the inflator. The lockNflate is a good option as well. JACO Lightning S2X Tire Inflator Hose Extension Self Locking Nozzle | Patented Lock-on Air Hose Adapter for Tire Pumps (Open Flow) a.co/d/2VytXZR
What tire? That steering wheel looks like a nightmare when you have to get away from 9 and 3. Looks like it has potential for sure.
@@BestUnderPressure RE's. I believe she was running the 305/19's, but I honestly didn't take the time to look. I drove right after Cindy and Jessi, so the tires were definitely lacking a bit of grip, I imagine turn-in would have been better with cooler tires. I never noticed anything odd about the wheel. Truthfully didn't even register that it was a flat-bottom until I watched the videos last night. 😅
@@wnracing You can't be bothered with simple things like the steering wheel. Press the go pedal and let her eat!
Great drive!
@@Bj0rn248 Thank you!
Gap to 2nd - 1.926 seconds. You know, bullying isn't accepted in modern day society. Ha, nice job.
😂😂😂 Thanks dude. Funny enough, my 3rd run on Saturday that got "lost" in the timing system was actually about .2 faster than my eventual re-run.
Great driving man. Congrats!
That’s all I needed to know lol thanks
Before this I nearly got the M12 ✊🏻
good thumbnail 👌
Thanks again dude, always awesome to see you out supporting us!
RIP headphone users
word!
can u blow air and remove dust with that example the pc etc ...?
No it's an inflator only doesn't store air
I'd say for that you could use the M12 blower; it doesn't blow hard enough to rattle the fans out of the frames but will do the trick you are looking to do.
So it took the M12 1 minute exactly and M18 is exactly twice as fast so not bad I would like to see the comparison when both are on the vehicle and how they handle the pressure of the weight the vehicle has on them that’s when we’ll see the stress weight can have on the power.
The M18 is significantly faster in that regard as well. We had an event at the end of last year that I chose not to trailer to and had to pack the M12 to save space and found myself extremely annoyed with how long the M12 took to inflate vs the M18... lol
But for real how many tires do u have to inflate for the m18 unless u have a shop but for side of the road at home bike do u need the 18 for real
We do autocross and there are very short breaks between runs with a lot to do to service the cars, so not having to babysit a slow inflator between runs helps a lot. Also, the M12 struggled to inflate my F250's tires, even if they were just a couple of lbs low - if it somehow needed 10lbs or more, that could easily chew up a 2ah battery as well. This has pretty much replaced my compressor as well when it comes to routine tire checks.. No more dragging a hose out to check tires in the driveway, just grab the inflator and go. Bang for the buck, I'd spend the extra $40-60 for the M18 any day.
You set it to 35 for the M18, but it filled it to 40. Is that what it normally does?
It will overshoot from time to time, but not frequently. I actually had more issues with the M12 under inflating than I do with the 18 going over.
@@wnracing Under is better than over,, for me at least.
@@chethammer I don't see how that could be the case, but either way, none of these inflators are going to nail the target PSI every time, none of them. I always check with a gauge after inflating regardless.
As of Feb 24 2024 the M18 is only $30 more tool only.
To clarify, it looks like after the M18 hit 35psi, he then set it to 40 as the M12 was still going. The top number is the set PSI.
Hyped lol
No doubt 😅
Hell Yeah
that m12 sucks ass
I had literally just bought the M12, then the M18 was released! Lol. The M12 works just fine but as much as I like to have the best of the best, the M12 is going to have to do! Lol
Thanks for doing that comparison.
Is the m18 doable for a 80psi tire or is that unrealistic?
I believe that it can go up to 150 psi.
Sorry for the late reply, but I was able to put 120psi in a portable tank and called it quits. It seemed like it would have had no problem adding more, but I wasn't willing to push my limits with an old HF tank. lol
Do u know of a good air chuck for the m18, that is if it’s even needed
This is the one I use. JACO Lightning S2X Tire Inflator Hose Extension Self Locking Nozzle | Patented Lock-on Air Hose Adapter for Tire Pumps (Open Flow) a.co/d/eloFIdc
Awesome run. Thanks for the advise during the course walk.
Thanks, I had a blast! You know I'm more than happy to help any time, don't hesitate to ask.
Man we spent all day working on Josh's Mazda on Saturday and couldn't get it starting Saturday night and it really killed our mood for the weekend so we canceled our plans seeing the rain. I hope yall had fun though and hopefully I can catch you at another event. Keep up the great work man.
we aint spend all day we sepnt like 3-4 hours on that shit I'm dramatic af
Damn dude that sucks, hopefully you got it figured out!
Great Driving on both days…Certainly humbled me to see how good my competitors were…..Congratulations!!!
Thanks Scott! I'd give just about anything for just one more run on the West course. 😅
@@wnracing Great driving, great day 2! Should have just stopped during day 1 run 2 and pointed at a course worker in the vicinity haha. Seemed to work for others 😆
Nice run in the wet!
I mean m12 is slower but gets the job done I'm not racing my neighbors to see see who could air the tires on a cold day..
I agree, I have the m12 and it's been a lifesaver when I picked up construction debris at work and have a flat tire at 6am and just want to get home 😂 just ordered the M18 on sale so the m12 is going to find a new home though
Depends what you’re going to use it for. For the odd top up here and there, sure the m12 is perfectly fine, but if you’re going to do large tires or frequent multiple tire fill ups the m18 is well worth it, because of the time it will save you and also because the m12 will see an early grave if you try to push it on a job it wasn’t designed to do (it overheats easily and doesn’t have a fan like the 18). I got it for track days because pressure is adjusted throughout the day, and at the end all 4 tires need to be pumped back from like 25 to 35. As seen in the vid, if you tried that with a 12 you’d be waiting a long time, and you might have a paper weight when you’re finally done.
If you have a small leak in your tire it may be better to have the m18.
No one said anything about racing. If you value the price vs time then get m12
Good way to think about it
'Promo SM' 🤷
need moar powa!
Certainly did on that day! LOL
uploaded 4 hours ago. Damn dude, do you not sleep?
Not much, but this has actually been uploaded for a 2-3 weeks pending the appeal result... lol Just made it public last night.
I got an m12 BEFORE the M18 came out. It's still a handy tool but the m18 is just so much better. As long as you have space for it, get the M18.
"Spin to Win" - Pat Sajak... probably
Do they deflate the tyre if you set a lower pressure than what is currently in the tyre? e.g. 30psi(current) to 28psi (intended)?
No
Just use a valve tool for that
Data seems to be out of sync. Just curious, does solostorm allow you to adjust this?
It does. I think I may need to zero the accelerometer again since the last software update. The weird thing is the lateral and braking forces look about right (maybe slightly delayed), but acceleration seems to be almost nonexistent. The TPS has always been funky with the Civic for some reason and I've yet to find a good solution to make it right.
Finally, a comparison that isn't 10 minutes of some guy babbling. Straight to the point.
Looking good. At about the :30 second mark, did the rear step out? Did you do that on purpose to rotate the car? You know how slow I am so I'm probably over analyzing trying to find speed with my own car.
Dude, you're not slow at all lol. Yeah, the tune is not great and we were fighting for rear grip all weekend as well. The car is completely new this year and this was the first event on the new setup so we're working out the kinks. I was very happy with the car by the end of the event, though.
Is this an na evora? Great driving!!Speed looks great too I might not need the s model after all
Thank you & Yes it is! This was before adding a little extra power, too! I was impressed with the power and delivery, it was predictable and fun to drive.
@@wnracing what mods have you done? Exhaust sounds good too seems like it’s aggressive but not that loud to be annoying
I also have an 11th gen si, all stock. I want to stay in GS class. I’ll prob just get wheels/tires and a rear sway bar. Is that the set up you have? I’m so slow compared to your driving. How do you do it? Haha
Hey Chris, thanks for the compliments man, I'm flattered! As far as mods go on the 11th gen, you'll definitely want to start with a good tire (you'll need 18's with the shorter gearing of the 20+ cars) and a rear swaybar, I run whiteline, but there are several other good options out there. I've driven the 11th gen quite a bit as well and they are really under-dampened compared to the 10th gen, so I'd be on the lookout for new shocks. I've heard through the grapevine that Koni is working on them!
Making it look effortless
Moving so fast the sound couldn't keep up? You talked me into buying a Torsen diff. It's a completely different car now.
DUDE! I'm so sorry, I just remembered you messaged me on the forum. I completely forgot to respond. Ugh. Next time shoot me a message on FB. Car feel much better on power now? As far as the sound goes, I got a new GoPro at the end of last season, but it rained every event so I never used my mic and my dumb self forgot to change the mic setting in the camera.
@@wnracing The car just pulls through the corners unlike anything I've ever felt. I can make it rotate easily with the loud pedal. It's pretty awesome.
@@BestUnderPressure Heck yeah man, glad it made a big difference for you!
Going to pick up one of the M18 units the next time I’m at Home Depot - have a “kajillion” M18 batteries laying around from all the kits I’ve bought over the last few years that I might as well put them to good use!
Send a couple my way lol
As long as you follow cool down period of 1:2 for the m12 you will be fine. 10 minutes max usage followed by twenty minutes of cool down. Broke one and found that one, now I have another and haven’t had the issue. These do not replace big air compressors. They are simply made to top off a flat tire , not heavy duty. The m18 is supposedly heavy duty
Hope it lasts longer than my m12. Burned it up after a few months light use.
My M12 is still kickin' after 2+ seasons of frequent use. 🤷🏻♂️
I burned my first M12 rather quickly too. My second one has held up so far, but I try to avoid bigger jobs for it. That things need for cooldowns is insane! Ordered an M18 one simply for the reason one reviewer said it runs cooler than the M12 one. And for the price difference, it'd better!
