I haven't tested it so I didn't want to comment, but now that I have him I'm hoping to put out a Watchers vs. NM comparison video this weekend and put some numbers on it. I agree I think NM is going to be his best spot though, extra cooldowns reduction as you said plus extra rage and the synergy with his ult from Lust.

@@BluntgutsGaming for me, it was praetus weekend banner. Lucius, battle sista (constance), Praetus as well. Nascent summoning was Magmus. And few dupes. It was insane… Next time we will get better luck.

Kigiri? I think he certainly will in some cases. I haven't tested him Watchers vs. NM but my best guess is NM is stronger for him assuming you can max out the attack speed bonus. With that said the Watcher's lord bonuses got a revamp recently and that damage bonus is VERY solid too. I'm sure he'd do great in that kind of comp as well, and Watchers has no fighters so he'll definitely have a spot in that faction

@@wheelinnut1612 Could be! Part of his initial burst is the 3, or 5 at A1, summons he gets on deployment. That in combination with his first ult summoning 4 means you have 7-9 on the field at once. Past the first 30s or so of his deployment he becomes noticeably weaker. I think that's rough in a 3 min fight, but he is a good hero so maybe that initial burst gives others time to ramp up like you said. I'd love it if he did, he's so much fun ❤️

Anora and Lust were great on release. Dahlia is still completely unnecessary. Kigiri is solid but I unless apoc3 comes I have no need for him and even if it does, does he make the team?

100%, I think it's always a good idea to go for them. It would not surprise me at all if there was new content that he was OP in - but I don't think that will be GvG. One tile range fighters without any defensive mechanics are just too vulnerable to existing demons. Best to grab him and not need him than skip him and need him imo. Beyond that I do think he's a very good hero, I just don't think he's going to be a mainstay in a lot of content

I think his purpose from the devs perspective may be just to open up GB2 to more accounts. Time will tell though!

That's a great point! I didn't mention it because I haven't specifically tested it but I thought that might be the case but I'm not surprised, I really love this hero

I could be wrong, but it seems like he's going to be dispelling about once every 20s, which is great but also means that you might end up sitting with hardening stacks for a while if timing isn't on your side. Personally I prefer Lucius because it allows for more controllable damage windows, but I also think it really doesn't matter all that much because they're watering down the way the Aegis mode works. Both will get the job done more than well enough to hit 120k.

​@@BluntgutsGaming got him A0 max skills. The boss never got more than 1 buff on him throughout my whole apo2 fight. 182k key and he did 226m lordless. Aegis phase becomes easy with him. Easy to kill the phase cos no defence increases and boss doesn't get ramping damage so no risk of dying. He's a gb2 beast. Haven't tested him anywhere else yet

@@BluntgutsGaming I would say 226m is good. Considering he is lordless, my a0 Alistair under pope is hitting for 300m. Jeera a0 400m and a2 pope 450m. Plus every dps apart from kigiri uses their ults synced with constance buff. Kigiri you cant really do that, especially when boss is toppled. Kigiris damage comes more spread out over the fight a lot the time his ult or talent triggers are when constance is not buffing him. I would like to see what an full watchers ingrid comp could do, her lord buffs would make kigiri do a tonne of damage.

@@rd-ec1nm Fair enough. In my 175k team my main damage dealers are all 400-500m, but A0 and lordless it's a nice result! I'll probably plug him into my watcher team w/Ingrid and see how he does, I need more ground based heroes anyways

A quest part? I'm not sure what you mean. They've definitely added more incentive to participate, and the Apex shop will further push people to engage in arena. For me personally, and I know many others feel this way too, the game mode just isn't fun and it's very repetitive. I think if they want people to engage in arena they need to overhaul the mode

@@BluntgutsGaming Sorry I couldnt think of the word for the Odyssey when I wrote that. It requires you to end in plat 3 three times. I ve noticed since the Odyssey hit the game, little things like that have been harder. usually after 8 Pm est, no one attacks anymore in plat 2 and 3 on Sunday. Since teh Odyssy, I get attacked. They nerfed boreaas ( those were the only teams I had to avoid before)but during the update wait, the did banner for Praetus, Ingrid and Valderon. No matter the team power, those champs on a team will probably win.

@@Donderbus haha yeah a couple of people pointed it out and you are all on point. As I mentioned elsewhere half of these heroes weren't fully built, and none were built for HP so that needs to be considered too. I'm still planning on doing some true durability testing for platform units, hopefully to find some breakpoints for HP stacking on platform units
