This feels like being alone with the person you find comfort in only in a dark space. You probably don’t really like it, like you’re avoiding them because you’re troubled minded, but at least they’re there. They’re for you, and it’s somewhat bitterly nice.

I sometimes randomly think of how I’m currently alive, breathing, and conscious. And that one day, I’ll die. I’ll just be gone. Everything I’ve ever known in my life will be gone. Everyone I’ve ever known, everything I’ve ever been through will just rot away with my corpse. And in a couple hundred or so years, I’ll be completely forgotten and be a relic of the past. Every time I see ancient artifacts or bones, I wonder what kind of life that person lived. They were once just like me, alive, breathing and conscious, they had dreams and aspirations, and things in life that they enjoyed. But unless they were famous, they as individuals are now forgotten.
