Hi everyone, now onto his beautiful face detail, I’m using the Caran d Ache white pastel pencil to intensify his white fur. Hi everyone! Speeding up a bit now on releasing the Christmas Cat Angel videos. I’m having another go at the eyes. I started this picture with the intention of using the Faber Castell set of 12 pastel pencils, but as I changed this picture considerably when returning back to it after sometime I decided to use any colour and make of pencils on him! Anyway I wanted to jazz up his eyes! 😊❤

Hi everyone! nearly finished his headdress! I'm looking forward to getting his fur on! love doing whit fur. Don't forget, white looks whiter on the computer or phone screen so if you are drawing him and your white doesn't look as white as here on screen then don't get despondent, this is one of the reasons I like to draw very dark backgrounds with a white cat or dog, the contrast works magic! We also have a nice vibrant cushion coming up later for him to sit on...

They look oblong but do eventually transcend to round.... this is how drawing is for me, I'm so into getting the detail right it's so easy to miss the 'bigger picture' still it's all very relaxing in the process, that's the most important thing, to enjoy the process! Hi everyone! We're here now his beautiful and heavenly eyes! I started off this portrait using just the set of 12 pencils by Faber Castell so my choices were limited at this point... I do add more colours later on as this beautiful White Maine Coon evolves into the Christmas Cat Angel! What's your favourite part of any animal portrait, to draw or watch?, I love doing the animal's eyes, it is a key part in getting the feel of the animal, it can't be rushed so take time here if you need it.😃

Hi everyone! now for tackling the background! I tried various methods for blending in the pastel stick which I applied first - Daler Rowney black, I just use my finger usually, seems to work fine for this kind of background. I added a lovely dark blue over the black which enriches the overall look of the black. What's your favourite method for blending in on a background like this? let me know here 😀in the comments!

Hi everyone. So here we are at the end of our cute puppy, he's full of colour and I like him! In this video I show how you how I sign my pictures before framing. I's taken me some time to be this organised and plan what size mount I will use for each picture! I really hope you have found this helpful. it certainly is one of the things I would love to have seen here on UA-cam 14 years ago when I started drawing. having said that though, I'm so grateful for all the amazing teachers here on UA-cam I have learned pretty well everything here for free, this is why it gives me so much pleasure to give this help to all drawers that want it for free! We're coming to the finishing touches to our little puppy now.... these are what make 100% of the difference to our pictures, it's good to take your time over this. I leave the picture up and as I glance at it over maybe a week I will see what I can do to improve it. We have to be careful not to over do these final touches, when I try and get them done in one go it doesn't work as well for me. Then clarifying his head and ear area darker patches to add dimension and a 3D look. And yes! the timer is operational! Further thoughts on some of the Carbothello pastel pencils, some are so soft they are difficult to sharpen!
