This has always been one of the more memorable tracks of the game because this dungeon is the one where you begin to finally figure out what is going on with the Koholint island and what its fate will be if you wake the Wind Fish.

The level design in this game was so perfect. . .until these showed up.

When I first got to this point, I was playing an Oath of Vengeance Paladin, and as I saw him rise from the pit, I was awed, amazed, fearful, and weirdly elated. And at the end of his speech when he brandished his scythe, all I could think to do before combat started again was to shout: "EVEN GODS MAY DIE!!"

Well that didn't go so well, huh? If Pit takes too much damage, his life bar will shatter, and he will enter Crisis Mode. If he takes another hit while in Crisis Mode, he will die. If you choose to continue, you will lose half the obtained items in the current stage, your score will be cut in half, and some of the hearts in the Fiend's Cauldron will spill out, reducing the intensity by 0.5, making the stage easier, but also reducing the value of any items obtained, and possibly preventing you from entering Intensity gates. If you choose to exit the stage, you'll have to start from scratch the next time you enter it, but you'll keep everything you obtained before dying. Be careful, as taking a strong hit while Pit's health is low will kill Pit outright, bypassing Crisis Mode entirely, and Ornes will kill Pit instantly should they touch him.

It's weird. Even though this game isn't really ever that good in terms of being a Zelda game, it has some of the best bosses in the series. And some of the best boss themes too

I love how the rest of the game is nothing like the Zelda series and then the Lightning Temple is everything like the Zelda series. It's amazing how you can stun her with the Mirror Shield
