    does this apply only to build size or to the actual project size? I need to reduce my projects size, not concerned with builds atm.

      Textures play one of the biggest parts in large filesizes of environments. Playable files for Mona need to be under 250Mb for example. The Unity project can be any size, but the Mintable files need to be under 2Gb (if you plan to mint the space).

    Texture compression is not always useful. If device doesn’t support the texture compression format you use for a texture, Unity decompresses the texture at runtime. This increases memory usage and decreases rendering speed.

      Agreed, this is why we have removed Crunch Compression support for Mona Spaces.

    Very useful, thank you, but I have an issue - I have a breast part I have physics on, and I'd like it to collide with the hair. How can I make it affected only by the hair physics, and not the breast physics? On Play, the breast part goes crazy because I have a collider and physics in the same place.

      I take it you mean physics based on the Spring bones you have created as that is the only physics you can run on a VRM I believe (unless you are using engine physics if the platform supports it.) If I have it correctly you have a springbone on the breast plate, and a spring bone on the hair, and you have a physics collider (ball) on both...so they are self colliding? Unless you can mask specific colliders to specific spring Bones I'm not sure this is possible (haven't looked into that myself so can't say for sure). So with what I know, you may have to decide if the breast part requires a spring bone or not perhaps so that the hair can collide properly.

      To my knowledge yes, VSeeFace takes VRM assets as the content to use in their eco system. That said, not sure how much extra would be required in order to have the facial tracking work. I assume the VRM would need all the required blendshapes as well created in the process.

      Thanks for bringing my attention to this video as we have removed Crunch Compression support recently for Mona spaces. That said, it is strange that the filesize went up, if you jump into the Mona Discord I'd be happy to follow this up to better understand whats going on.

    @3:55 Yes!!! I try to model the texture as tiled texture in blender, but then at the end some stuff doesn't rile correctly, so I fix (all the baked maps images one by one) to make them tile correctly.. ❤❤❤❤ Excellent approach, thanks Matt and Mona 🤗

    As textures are supposed to be 'Modeled' not downloaded. This way one can create any amount of details they desire in just on texture. With unlimited materials baked in one 'Modeled texture' 👍👍👍👍👍

      I assume that UniVRM will update along with latest versions of Unity. If the version in the video does not work, you should be able to get a later version of teh UniVRM package. Make sure to get the UniVRM package, not the VRM package, on their github. It's very easy to get the wrong one.

    Very useful! Only thing is when I drag the playground files into the Mona browser uploader nothing happen as it says my exports has no files in it, despite saving the file

      The most common reason for this is there is an error in the project. Check the console for any issues once you build the playground files. You can join post in the Discord Support channel (link in the description) if you need more details once you find the error. I think the most common error for new builders is not adding the WebGL module on installation of Unity.

    I loved the video !! Very thought out and very digestible but i am curious is it possible to have a hollow colider that you can walk into say like a tube or slide?

      Glad you liked the video! Yes, you could do hollow colliders. You'd have to create it in a tool like Blender, maya etc. and make sure that the Normals are facing the right way. So facing 'out' on the outside, and facing 'in' on the inside. After that you would use a Mesh collider in Unity. Remember to keep the mesh low poly though for optimization :) The other option is to use simple box colliders to imply the same shape...kind of like 6 (or more) long thin box colliders to make the tube.
