The weaving is a bad idea for me.

There are some great questions on here, wish the stylist would answer so we'd be better equipped to know if this would/would not work on certain hair types, esp thinner. Mannequin has thicker hair (& darker); will this work on thinner & fine hair? I don't want to try it & ruin my hair if it won't. It's not really thin but it's not thick like the mannequin, & it's blonde so it shows the cuts easier. Helllp!

Can I ask why you did point cutting? Other experts say to blunt cut curly hair because "the ends need friends"? There is a lot of conflicting info out there. Thank you.

I have curly hair and having a stylist point cut it just ruined the look. It created a shredded effect which was very undesireable! I can see that that also happened in your video. I respect that different people like different styles but I personally much prefer clumpy cutls so this means it needs to be blunt cut.

when you cut those little pieces for texture with the zigzag weave technique does that make the hair look weird and choppy when u straighten it??

Okay, a little confused- When you pull the hair closer to the top, are you using a guide or free handing it? As in like- are you cutting all the new pieces the same length as the first piece you cut? Hopefully this makes sense

Excellent explanation. At first I thought it was too ambitious for an unqualified self cutter with a long history of doing my own curly short-medium length, fine hair with scissors that are a little blunt! But I did it. Hair still air drying so looking forwards to seeing the end result! Might go back to tweak tomorrow. Thank you for tutoring us.

Okay, maybe it is just my curl pattern, but "slide cutting/ feathering/ zipper cutting" wrecks my curls and makes them frizz in a poodle poof. With a curl pattern that likes to be in little groups of friend hairs that have a similar curl pattern, what cutting style creates little clusters in the hair? Sorry, does that make sense?😅
