That route doesn’t exist anymore. And why would it. It was a once daily flight and there’s a train, several buses or a less than 2hr drive.

that would be good, i feel like its way too unsafe especially for a flagship carrier like air nz to not be doing security screening.

Cristchurch might have to renovate it's regional gates then,As right now they are litterally next to check in with the stairs to the next floor in that area

@aeroviews_ I used to fly Jetstar Napier to Auckland frequently. Since they put a halt to regional routes I now drive instead.

yeah doesn't seem very reliable especially after the voepass incident this year

I have flown on a air New Zealand atr at least 30 times and never found anything wrong (except for the fact that I missed one of my flights)

@@reyronelcastro1720 i would try get there a bit earlier just for some peace of mind. Otherwise you'd be alright man, only 2-3 other flights operating during that time so security should be quick and easy.

@@seandavie3672 yeah got pretty lucky, the route was new and this was at a time where routes from aus to Vietnam were cheap as. Since bamboo airlines have left the international scene prices have spiked up.

@@duaneowens7777 cheers brother, I checked in a bag but I was well under the limit depending on the route you get 40kg checked with the deluxe deal. But overall they’re pretty strict on checked baggage but they don’t really care about carry on allowance
