Ah yes. I'm adding weight to the front on purpose to offset the COG of the camper. Think of this as a custom rig that is approximately 4500 pounds complete. My truck can handle up to 7000 pounds on the rear. When the camper is on the back the truck sits level. Thanks for the grest comment. Keep watching. We are going to be adding a stainless steel glass access hatch to the roof coming up soon. We hope you continue to watch us finish up this camper.

If we were going to be putting back wood, you would be correct, but we decided to go a different route and use steel. The only wood will be on the inside due to weight we needed to add to the front to change the COG of the camper to meet DOT guidelines. But thank you so much for your comment and watching. I need the COG to move forward in order to be on center of my tire location this is the reasoning for adding weight to the front .. the original COG is located behind my rear tire at current time because it's a truck camper designed for an eight foot bed and my truck had a six foot bed.. now the new flat bed is eight feet so it fits perfectly once I'm finished the COG should be perfect just to the front of center of rear axle.

What year is yours? Mine is a 2004. It did not come with a front window up top like yours and my windows on the side are longer.
