HalfBlue - HalfGreen - Flight training at all levels, and flying the Chinook
Half Blue Half Green by Jason Davenhill, Flying Instructor.
A view from the cockpit by possibly the only military pilot to instruct at every level - UAS, EFT, Advanced FT, OCU, front line, helicopters and fixed wing, Army, Navy and Air Force, plus civilian fixed wing and helicopters.
Jason gives a run down of his life in the RAF which included spells on Cosford's own Bravo November, the UK's most famous helicopter. As well as a great insight into the mighty Chinook, he spoke about a career which has involved training at all levels and in different branches of the forces, and the effects of coaching and encouraging rather than criticising and penalising. This video is excellent for anybody who likes aviation stories (involving virtually everywhere the RAF has operated the Chinook) but also for anybody involved in any sort of training, whether aviation or any other sort.

Squadron Leader Rick Lipscomb gives a talk about his role in RAF Heritage. He explains how museums requesting airframes are vetted for how well they keep existing exhibits. There is also an assessment of the impact the exhibit will have, and in this respect it is interesting to see how Tornados originally presented with no engines have been retrofitted. Security requirements and treaties requir...
