Chad's Stage Breakdown @ Lafayette Practical Shooters | The Brown Duke Gun Show with JP Garcia
Love you Brandon Elias
I put Rockset on my set screws. I also pin the gas block. I have vises, torque wrenches, taper reamers, drill presses, etc. The TDP specs are not complicated, and a lot of home builders know how to read. Some of us simply don't wish to pay a 1k markup for a rifle and still deal with QC issues after the fact
Great video !!

So boring. Thanks
Being in the open gun market myself, the options are incredibly slim these days. Only a handful of builders still doing it and with book space. MPA is one of the few feasible choices unless used is cool with you
So true - and used open guns are a mixed bag. To me, a lot of it comes down to how well you know the previous owner. I'll buy an open gun (and have) from someone that I can trust has *not* taken a dremel to the thing. When it comes to Infinity, I'll email/call the factory with the serial number to see what they know about the gun, if anything.
@@thebrowndukegunshow dan from D2 customs is a solid route for having a gun built if you ever need to recommend one to someone!
I'm mentioned on broadcast 😊
They do a tour, they show you the pencil. When I was kid their was not case in front of the bullet holes. We would stick her fingers in them so they started getting smoothed out. They put a case in front of it. There’s still one to the left in the column that you can see.
You're adding parts and complexity for something that your competitors are able to do with less parts and complexity?
You deserve more
Wish u become famous
What i dont under stand What is this
if you dont know what it is, then it aint for you
I got to play with one of the prototypes they had sitting on the counter a while back at the shop and it's pretty neat. I went ahead and got on the list for one of each size. Definitely ready to get ahold of them to try out.
Context people. I don’t give a shit about the things you’re talking about without it
Use your ears. They're clearly talking about charging handles breaking. They're talking about different styles breaking. It's literally right there in the clip.
Can't wait to get mine!
Thank you for posting!
Sure! It's a really old video but hopefully it's still helpful! That barrel is an AET barrel FWIW
Good advise. I'm stocking more ammo now.
The ammo guy in Detroit story lmao
Like a gang
I met Max at the Shoot Sig event in Robert, LA last year. Super nice and humble guy. I ended up getting put in a squad with his dad who's also the same way and a great shooter too. There was already a little bit of stress being that was the biggest match I've been to. Add in Max Michel Sr and Jr watching you run a stage it's a whole other level lol
HAHAHA yeah - I totally understand!!! Best advice I can give is to try to focus on your walk-through on your make-ready. 9999 times out of 10000, they're not paying direct attention to your shooting because they're worried about their own shooting.
Get a FFL and you can get a lot of toys.
You got a black person nose, i shall grant you the pass.
😅 Different subject but easiest way to communicate with you. CCW holder-recently went to store I’d been to many times in Lafayette and this time I noticed a sign way off to side saying no firearms allowed. What would have happened to me from a legal perspective if I’d been “caught “ on the premises with my concealed carry pistol? In some states it’s actually a felony but I’m confident that is NOT the case in Louisiana. Example-you walk in the mall and there is a sign somewhere near the entrance that says No Firearms-what is my liability?
Hey @danulman8837 - thanks for the comment! Best thing for you to do is call the range (sentrydef.com) and talk to one of the guys about the specific store and sign. Not knowing too much more about the signage and situation, I *think* that if the store has a "No Firearms" sign, but it is otherwise legal to carry in that establishment, the store personnel can ask you to leave, and you would be obliged to leave - but - no law was actually broken (only their store policy). I, personally, don't teach concealed carry, so please still consult the range staff lsp.org for specifics. That said, I found this on lsp.org: www.lsp.org/services/concealed-handgun-information/prohibited-locations/
@@thebrowndukegunshow Thanks for the response!
@@danulman8837 For sure - thanks for listening!
Guns are not going to zero, they are always worth something, especially if they are rare pieces like synchronous serial numbers of special 1911s or a pre ban full auto gun.
Thank you! I apologize for the video clip because, now, I see that it was unclear. The background to this was that we were talking about how much to spend on an AR. Some people buy expensive ARs, and really love the process of zeroing in their scopes with them, and putting them back in the safe. Of course - do whatever you want with your money, but my thought was that, if all you're going to do is zero the optic and put it back in the safe, you may as well get a cheaper AR, because most rifles will zero. Here's the full show for reference: ua-cam.com/video/DwN8TdqrtTQ/v-deo.html
@@thebrowndukegunshow oh ok, yea I always buy the cheapest stuff to build with and I’ve never had any problems with zeroing a gun, it’s almost like the ar platform is hard to mess up and companies shouldn’t be charging as much for them just because its name brand.
I love how you mentioned what gun
Love to see knowledgeable guys in gun shops setting people up for success!
Thanks @hughpewpew! Let us know if you want us to cover anything specific in future shows
@@thebrowndukegunshow I’d like to see a segment with you and a guest doing video commentary on cool footage in a way that allows the audience can watch along with the host and guests. Maybe thoughts and commentary of viral gun videos or initial thoughts on new gun industry products.
@@hughpewpew I'll have to figure out how to do that - but sure!
Most people can't afford the luxury of being a gun snob..... if it's reliable and in your budget, buy it.

So I have recently discovered the s&w sd40ve it’s cheap I’ve put over 5000 rounds in it and the only seldom malfunction is after about 200 rounds with no added care but easy to clear feels good just practice with that trigger it’s a little different not in a good way but worst case scenario I’m out $300 and a police report and it’s better then a hi point but I live with it now and love it tight groups

NFA regulations don't make sense. They're arbitrary and capricious. Big/small, very loud/extremely loud? Shorter barrels mean LESS velocity, LESS harmful. Harming a person's hearing is LESS harmful than NOT harming a person's hearing? All of these regulations are just nonsensical.
As a non gun owner this man is 100% correct 😂😂
Dumb shit
Also make sure and know what floor of a building you're on. Aiming up on the first floor of a building is not a safe direction, and aiming down on the second isnt either. You do habe to make sacrifices when you are in a 3+ story building, and having knowledge of the spaces around you is important. Above you is a bathroom and below you is a copy room, the bathroom is more likly to have hard tiles amd pipes in the way and is more likly to stop a bullet. Up in that situation wpuld be safer.
I hate these short videos that just randomly cut off mid sentence. Was this an accident or are you just an asshole?
uploaded at midnight😃. Do you rent open gun at the range?
I don't think Brandon rents his out... but maybe he should get another one specifically for rental?
@thebrowndukegunshow I think that would be pretty cool idea for the people that can't afford one, don't personally know someone with one, or maybe just want to shoot one just to say they did. I wouldn't necessarily put a 10k Infinity on the rental wall maybe something cheaper like a CZ Czechmate.
Geaux Barney!

Not sure where else you're pointing it but if I'm at any range and a barrel gets pointed at anyone, teeth will be on the floor. A grown man isn't twirling his drill around. Why would a grown man twirl a gun around. They're tools and that's all there is to it. Your comment makes 0 sense and just shows how on autopilot you are.
