17th Street Railroad Crossing, Tampa, FL
This was the first catch on my last day in Tampa; Amtrak 91 reversing into Tampa Union Station. I almost ended up missing this train as the tracker was down, so I didn't know where it was. I looked down the tracks and saw it approaching. I then quickly started recording and the signals activated around 15 seconds later.
This is another classic crossing along the Tampa Terminal Sub, being a part 70's SCL and part 80's SBD install. The original 8-inch lights on the SCL signal were later replaced by the current WCH lights and the gate lights were later replaced by NEG gate lights. Thankfully, the original Safetran mechanical still remains and it's somehow the first time I've recorded one without any other bell at the crossing. Prior to this, the only working one I had recorded was paired with a GS Type 2. Overall, a great crossing!

After getting 92 reversing, we went into Ybor City to get set up at the one-way 16th street crossing. Soon, 92 left Tampa Union Station to begin the rest of it's journey to Miami. That’s an Asc square e-bell which is also to be considered as a Very rare bell since these were prototypes

Great video and crossing! Love those US&S bells! Shame they both click when they start. And that's definitely an 80s SBD install there, it appears WABCO bells were still being made when the SCL became part of the SBD in 1982.
RTD is most likely to use this crossing in the future.
