Thank you! Dang for $10 it's a great buy! It holds up surprisingly well, I think the only issue with trout fishing is going to be able to feel the lighter bites. The very tip section has almost a spring bobber type action so it might be easier to see the bites rather than feel them. I'm sure you'll be fine once you hook them though! Tight lines!

Oh for sure! I've done quite a bit there but haven't caught any on the days I've filmed. I'm hoping next spring to get a few later run steelies on the fly rod over there. It's such a good spot!

Yeah it honestly surprised me. The tip seemed weak but it held up to those bigger smallmouth pretty well!

Honestly it's not bad for what it is lol just hard to land fish between the drag and low gear ratios. I've never tried braid on a spincast but it might do the trick since it's thinner diameter?

Honestly it really isn't bad lol. I haven't tried the two piece version that they sell at Walmart though.

They come in 1/30th and 1/20th oz...I believe I was using the 1/20th oz on that trip so I could get a longer cast

Definitely! Fortunately I've never had to but I'm really tempted to do a side by side comparison.

It's definitely an area I like but I live about an hour away from it so I don't get to fish it as much as I'd want to. But I do love making videos there!

Yeah I would definitely think so. The reel I'm using is a 3000 and it balanced pretty well on the 6'6". When I can only bring one combo on the river I like to size up some on capacity so I don't run low on line after any breaks.

@@theflyestadventures it will Def optimize your line capacity , never had an issue with the line going into the spool. I've had the zephyr going into my second summer so I've used it alot. I use alot of walmart lures anything for Texas rigging or the Strikeking spinners , the beatle spins are super cheap but effective, tight lines and God bless

Yeah that creek held my old PB Smallmouth lol, it was in my "Ultimate Zebco Rambler Review" I had dropped in by the airport. Definitely one of my go to wading spots.
