I wish I knew what the gym was like there! I do actually like having the time to work out and enjoy it rather than rushing through it. Any comments?
My husband and I just went there for our first time and we LOVED IT!!!! We are wanting to go again soon. We were celebrating our 3 year wedding anniversary. It was sooo beautiful. The first day it was a bit cloudy bc they just had TS Alberto so they were finishing up with the rain. Mosquito ended up being bad but other than that it was beautiful there. There were a few places we didn't get to eat at and didn't get to see the shows as y'all did. We were just in awe of everything we didn't know what was going on around us. Lol. Hands down best place ever!!!

We just booked! Did you use the free transfer from airport to hotel through VIM? I booked but I do not see any instructions in the email. Wasn’t sure if this needed to be set up. Thank you
The transfer isn't free unless you book directly with them or book certain accommodations. At least that is what we were told. Also you do have to set up the transportation with the hotel. I was told this as well. 😊
We always get the Jr. Deluxe because it just makes the most financial sense. I mean, I want to stay as long as I possibly can. Doing another 10 days this October! Did you know that there are actually two Deluxe suites in bldg. 5 that have ocean views?
In all the times we've eaten at Ginger, I'm the only person that I've ever seen that uses the metal chopsticks? Can anyone explain this? lol
What about the food, any sickness ?

We go to the Valentin every year! No sense looking elsewhere, the Valentin is AMAZING!
I've been tempted to book here a couple times because the reviews are excellent and grounds and pools look gorgeous and good food is important to me. What keeps holding me back is it seems you can't see the ocean from anywhere on the resort unless you book an emerald ocean front suite which is pretty pricey and even those the view is pretty much blocked by trees. Am I correct in saying you cannot see the ocean from any of the pools or restaurants or as you walk around the grounds?? I asked my travel agent about VIM and her response was 'its a lovely resort with fabulous reviews but we warn anyone booking there that everything is set back from the ocean'
Yes that is correct. The main restaurants are at the front. The closest restaurant to the beach is Mar y Tierra but you cannot see the beach but can feel a slight breeze from the ocean (it is open air). The emerald suites are the only ones you can see the beach from.
Yes it would be nice to have an oven view but believe me you will have a fabulous time either way. I wanted an ocean view too but once we got to the hotel everything there seemed so dreamy so you forget about wanting an ocean view.
Did you used the hair dryer? How is it? I’m debating whether to take mine.

Though we haven't ever tried, my understanding is that if you ask the building concierge, they will get conditioner for you. I cannot vouch for the quality or if it's even true...but I've heard that from several sources. 🙂

The beach didn't look too great, that's a bummer. Everything else looked very nice, the food especially! Might be booking this resort for this year's vacay. Thx for sharing!
The beach was beautiful! We did have some seaweed but I don’t think my video did the beach the justice it deserves. Further down there was a swimming area that is less rocky
I've stayed at several hotels in this area of Mexico and the beach at VIM is actually one of the nicer ones in this area which tend to be rocky. My main complaint with VIM is you don't see the ocean from anywhere on the resort unless you are at the beach. If you want to be in Mayan Riv. and have a gorgeous beach go to Maroma. Secrets Maroma is a bit more $ than VIM but it is spectacular and is on many of the lists of the best adult only all inclusive hotels.

I'm doing a quick 7 day Alaska, mid June 2024, on the Bliss. Did you fly in the day before, or did you depart Texas in the middle of the night?
I always fly in the day before any cruise because I never want to miss the boat!
@@vocametravel I always book the flight and the transit to the ship through the cruiseline. This way, it's on them to get you there. They would have to refund everything, if they couldn't get you on board.
We just cruised to Alaska in October and it was AMAZING!!
It was! One of these days I will make it back there!
