How many years was it with you? Would u give me some tips please? a. I have a cockateil and now it's just 6 months old. I got it when it was 3 months old. It is a male. b. Very reluctant in the beginning, afraid of hands, doesn't trust. But accepts treats, eats drinks when offered, also sleeps when I am nearby, but doesn't come to my hands, runs when I reach for him. c. Eats seeds, pellets, beans. Doesn't even try other foods. d. It didn't have feathers units neck and back of head when I got it and still the same. Its not stressed, playful, sings. Mostly prunes it's feathers, explores the toys in the cage, sings, watches other birds outside, eats, sleeps. Only fear is will it trust and become close as it grows? Your views would be of great help. Thank you

Bless him. We've had a cockatiel a week now and I'm so surprised at how easily it's taken to us. Already hopping up on our fingers/shoulders etc. Would love it do to this though. Do you still have him?
