I’m not teaching that all Christians ought to pay tithes because as I understand the new testament it’s not law, it’s grace, but I would suggest to you that grace should make us more generous than law. ALL pastors who take tithes off the people are breaking the 10TH commandment. ALL who pay tithes are causing their pastors to break the 10TH commandment. Tithing is old covenant. Yahshua came to fulfill the old covenant. Yahshua said:" It is finished." John 19: 30. The old covenant finished. We are commanded in the inspired scripture to feed the poor DIRECT, NOT feed the bellies of the pastors and cause them to SIN by breaking Yahweh's commandments. 1John 3: 4 . Rom 3: 20. IF you cause your pastor to break the 10TH commandment he will be lost because he broke Yahweh's 10TH commandment BUT you will be lost also because you caused your pastor to SIN by breaking Yahweh's commandments.
