Pretty much anything. Some will give a negative amount of damage but thats just a weaker gem rather than a downside. Other will instead take health but then there is a larger damage from the gem, so it evens out if you are okay with the health loss. Fx, just get a secondary weapon and only use the one that drains on bosses if you feel like it. Nothing is really worse or better its just a preference thing :)

skill for the visceral, and bloodtinge for shikage L2. otherwise just what you feel like :)

all of the runes can essentially be found throughout the game and the same for the weapons, but you will have to get them further into the game as you normally would if you cant use the glyphs sadly. you can still get it all tho as they are in the regular game, the glyphs are just altered dungeons that allow to get them earlier into the game :)

its been to long to remember, but i have made a new video that shows the same build, you could check the ending of that one out, it should show the stats while equiping the gems :)

@@hiimhugo6687Bloodborne is my first fromsoftware game and I got it day 1 it’s one of the best games ever made and chikage is my fav weapon but I hated how we had to beat a boss to get it would of been nice to get before the boss fight the whole chalice thing really changed up the game for the better. I don’t think I would have considered another playthrough if it wasn’t for this guide thxs g

A begginer should play the game normally once and then watch these types of videos so u can understand whats happening

@@llllle0lllll88 have not gotten around to check if it does. But if it doesnt you should atleast do it once anyway, so doesnt hurt to just rest right as you do it, then its either there or you can go do white masks quest for mogh acess. Then just use a bow on the dog for 40k runes every rest when the dog falls down. If you are unsure what the dog thing is, simply sesrch “mohgwyn dog rune farm” then it should pop up and show you :) only down side is you need to get there first but whitemasks quest helps. But that one should also be faster than the dragon. Hope it helps and gl man :D

glad to see new players, im sorry its not so friendly for people who havnt played :( i would love to make a newer version, only problem is i recorded it with the ps now cloud streaming thing..... I will most likely buy it again tho when i come back from vacation, to play some different games, but i will make sure to update this guide then aswell :) gonna be around the end of july

Hey man, from this im guessing you are at the chalice with the bloodechoes right ? what you have to do is go back to the hunters dream, from the lantern or with the paper. After going back you pick up the chalice and put it down again. If its another chalice you are talking about let me know :). The echoes comes from an enemy dying on their own if you go to the hall way and wait a little :D

@@hiimhugo6687 thx for responding I've beaten the blood starved beast I just don't know how to do the dungeons correctly like you were talking about in the video it's a little confusing but I do have the chalice and the blood ritual I just haven't used it yet cause I don't want to mess anything up

@@Kariyuu__420 ahh okay, yeah just do standard chalice dungeons the first two times. This gives you the root chalice which is used for all the other stuff including the dungeon where you ahouldnt open doors :) after you get the root chalice look in the describtion there is a full walk of the path for each dungeon so its less confusing

sry bout that thought the chalices would be the confusing part so made a video showing routes in description. If you stuck somewhere before chalices you just need to continue until the chapel and then take the left turn til you see the bloodstarved beast :) hope it helps

there is a key item (i think its called a seal) that you can buy in the hunters dream from the messengers to open the door with the giant guy :)

@@ToiletDestroyer437 Been a while so i cant exactly remember, but remember to also equip the clawmark rune if you havnt. I would guess skill was about 30, since the weapon scales of it aswell but i could be mistaken

in other words, you can lvl skill up more if you want to match, since the weapon transformed form scales off of skill anyways :)

@@hiimhugo6687 yeah I have the rune equipped, I was doing 1.3k visceral damage with 30 skill points, you reckon I should go 50 skill?

Sorry man, didn't expect new players in 2023 so just jumped a bit fast into it all. If you are lost feel free to ask :) or if its any of the chalice things you think are confusing there is a full guide in the description showing which way to go for the items :)

@@MrArrwstos4 ah okay, well you should just go through the game until you find the church where a woman tells you to bring others. after that go to the hunters dream and buy the "SEAL" from the shop to unlock a gate in the next area. Once you unlock the gate and go towards the top of the stairs you will see a big boss room in the church, here instead of going in, simply follow the route to the left right before the last stairs to the church. When you reach the end you will find 1 of the most important bosses. After this go back to the woman that tells you to bring others. And now take the door with the paper message on it. It will lead you to old Yharnam, go through the area by going behind the tower with the machine gun and keep going down into the wierd village with wolfs. At the end you find another boss that gives you a chalice. This chalice allows you to enter the dungeons shown in the video by placing it at the graves in the dream area :) hope this longer explaination somewhat helps you man <3

@@crosbymay5643 well, dont know how else to explain it, but just go through the game till you get to the chruch essentially. I dont think you can go any other way up till that point but i might remember wrong
