Contestants are told before the show what they are allowed to only get one of and the rules in total. We don't see it on TV. They were fully aware they broke the rules on this.

I love the original Supermarket Sweep with David Ruprecht. That's one of the best game shows to ever do it. But this reboot is god awful. Leslie Jones is insufferable. Stop yelling! It makes the show unwatchable. You have a microphone. Speak at a normal volume. To me, that tells me that she doesn't have a respect for gameshows. She just wants to turn this into the Leslie Jones show. But it's not the Leslie Jones show. It's Supermarket Sweep. Supermarket Sweep isn't about you, Leslie Jones. It's about playing the game of Supermarket Sweep. But you want to make this all about yourself. Nobody is tuning into Supermarket Sweep to see Leslie Jones. It's not one of your stand-up specials. Is it too much to ask for to just want a host that respects the game, and doesn't just make it about themselves. And I also just don't like the changes they made to the game itself. I don't like these new mini-games. And I don't like how that supermarket looks. In fact, I really hate how that supermarket looks. It looks nothing like how a supermarket is supposed to look. I don't like anything about how it looks. And it's supposed to be 3 clues in the big sweep, not 5. Why is it that Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and The Price is Right have managed the remain the same with new hosts, but Supermarket Sweep, and other reboots can't? Because Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and The Price is Right know that have a winning formula, and not to mess with it. This is such a disappointment because Supermarket Sweep is in my top 2 favorite gameshows of all time. Possibly my number 1 all time favorite gameshow. We deserved better than this. Bring back David Ruprecht. Sure he's old now. But he's still got it. Heck even Johnny Gilbert is pushing 100, but he still announces Jeopardy. Even at 96, he would've been a better announcer than the guy they got. They could make this work for a future reboot if they fix some of the things they broke. Bring back actual seasoned game show hosts and announcers like David Ruprecht and Johnny Gilbert. Make a real supermarket. Stop the yelling and foolishness. Lower the cash prize. That's why I don't like these primetime gamshows. Too much money. Put this back in syndication, and have the prize be $10K. Which is double what the 90's version was. More than enough. And for the love of God, bring back the original iconic theme song. Ain't nobody wanted Salt n Pepa's Push It as the theme song.

I didn't absolutely hate this version, but I definitely think this could've been way better with a different host. SS has a ton of energy already with the big sweep. I do like Leslie in other contexts, but she just doesn't work here.

I love Press Your Luck but Elizabeth Banks is so annoying and hard to watch.

Never say "I'm gonna go just one more time". That's when the Whammy is sure to appear.

While the patterns may be completely random these days and totally Larson proof, the lights still move incredibly slow. Played the GSN online version of Whammy with similar light speeds and I broke the game. Disney better hope I never get on that show because I would be playing into the next day.

If David Ruprecht was still hosting this show, he would have had so much fun watching the three teams going crazy in the market, grabbing the inflatable bonuses, and whatever is on the shopping list.

If only ABC had given David Ruprecht another chance at either hosting the reboot of Supermarket Sweep, or maybe they could have put him as an executive producer or a creative consultant for the show. I like Leslie Jones. She was good at hosting, but Supermarket Sweep just isn't the same without David Ruprecht.
