Would pair nicely with my TiRant V3, it's a great idea, but I'm a bit concerned about durability. How long has it been "field" tested?
We’ve been testing it in multiple styles of wallets for awhile now, I don’t have precise hours of use, but it does seem to hold up fairly well, considering its price is around $3-5 bucks (excluding blades included). It say it should last up to a year if your wallet isn’t too flexible

i really want a one! how safe are they to use? as in will it ever poke out of the wallet? and about how much longer for tirant ultra release? i neeeed some leaks or something
It is relatively "safe" but it also can be dangerous if you don't make sure the blades are all the way in. We made it so there is resistance and the blades cannot just "fall out" so that makes it relatively solid. I have not had them come out once and have used it a lot, but if the blades are not fully "seated" in the further-most portion of the holder, they could theoretically come out easier. We put a hidden notch inside the holder to keep the blades from being able to work their way out without pressure in your hand. Always remove the blade by holding front and back and slide out when removing and it should be fine! I don't think there should be much of an issue at all. The ULTRA is coming along nicely, we have almost 14 different blade designs with all kinds of various grinds. We are trying to settle on 5 proprietary separate blade designs at first to ensure we don't go crazy, as well as the Traditinal razor blade holder which will expose 90% of a normal trapezoidal blade. The ULTRA is very exciting and it's all I am thinking about daily right now to get it launched, but there are a few remaining items needed to solve, so we are working on it hard! Thank you, -Josh

Any more info coming on this?? I'm on the verge of a Cascadia V3, but I can really only get one and don't want a nicer razor to release immediately after I get mine!
This product won't replace the V3, this is essentially a larger variant with more capability. It is going to be awesome, but it won't replace the V3. The ULTRA also will be priced higher, so the V3 still is the best value of any model and will remain that way into the future. We do have a ULTRA clip for the V3 that will work with ALL existing V2 / V3 models shipped in the past 4 years!
You can hear the blade getting duller with every "clicky". absolutely hate mine

The flipper is awesome but this is a poor design imo the blade drags across the bottom dulling it out super fast and the magnets deactivate ur credit cards and hotel room cards and the magnets pick up all kinds of metal shavings if u work in construction like I do

Really cool design but I just saw someone post on Facebook where you won't warranty his knife he just got because it wasn't deburred properly.Claiming it has a lifetime warranty and not standing behind it is not cool.
Love it so much I got one for me and my mom the only problem was the clip the screw keeps falling off idk where the screw is anymore so I can’t use the clip anymore
I tried to do this with the older model and scratched the heck out of the scales. It is not accessible without heat and I found that out the hard way. I was trying to change to the pry bar attachment and failed.

That's awesome! yeah, the V3 will always have it's place and we are not replacing it with the ULTRA. The ULTRA is just another new larger handled "mega" version of the V3 with some amazing new features!
Not many purchases have been this satisfying.
Question : I noticed on some of the knives demonstrated in the video there is one blade notch showing in open position while other knives that you shown have no notch showing in open position. Which is correct or does it depend on the number of notches on the razor blade itself. My razor knife was delivered with a blade with four notches, while the included replacement blades have only two notches. I also noticed that the various blades that you now sell have only two notches as well.
@@richardsponholz9617 it depends on how many notches are on the blade - there’s a variety of different blades that have 2 or 4 notches, some have 3, it’s dependent on user preference but you’ll always want to have the blade fully seated in the furthest in position to safely operate it

I’ve been rocking this magnetic one since I got it. Still on the first blade (about 2 months) it’s still popping zip ties and breaking down boxes. I got the blue anodized one it’s starting to fade but looks good like a very loved pocket knife. Like it so much I ordered a 2nd one today just to have around so I can really beat on my original and not feel bad about it.
I think you should make the magnets captive so even if they break ityll never stop working. Rare earth magnets are so fragile

Ceramic is not magnetic. U can use ceramic in the v2
