Great job Tristan! Great to have a easy reference for the systems operations
$36,000 ?????? Come on Man
So honored you used our Vega XT for this video! 🎉 We're loving it and will be sharing our experience with it! Thanks!
It was a good trailer / color to use! We're stoked that you're stoked!
That video answered so many questions I have had, Thanks Tristan!
You're welcome! I'm here to help!
I've had my XT since Feb and I still learned a couple things from this. Thanks!
always learning! awesome
Great video! I would love to see more videos about the Vega XT. Maybe some maintenance videos on such topics as greasing the bearings and suspension, torque specs, tire pressures, troubleshooting, etc.
those videos will be forthcoming. We will have a maintenance video in the next few weeks.
Love it!!
Thanks, we do too!
We'll be picking up our Vega XT next month and this was something we measured ourselves and were not exactly sure because of the added height with the awning. Thanks for confirming!
You're welcome! Some garage doors don't open up quite all the way, or the height it a little lower at 81 or 82 inches. Even if this is the case, you should still be fine. Worst case scenario, you have to bleed off some air pressure from the tires. As long as you have an air compressor or good inflator, that's reversible in a minute or two when you want to go somewhere! Cheers
I would have bought this teardrop in a heartbeat. But i hate the inside layout. The drawers are way too much sticking out (way too deep). And another thing no windows on the sides. If these 2 things were changed, this would be by far the best trailer for me.
Hi - we understand your views. For the inside cabinets, most of our customers want storage space since that is usually at a premium on teardrops, so the their depth is geared towards usability, not looks. Our custom Tern doors have large awning windows in them, and we also have a 2x3' moonroof / stargazer window up front for outside lighting. To each their own! We hope you have luck finding a perfect trailer for you.
@cedarridgecampers9764 i understand, but when you lay down and lets say you get up, the cabinets are sitting in your face. Other option to make the trailer 1 foot longer. I like the setup in bean trailers. Cabinets are pushed way back.
That's a nice looking, nicely shaped teardrop.........but I simply don't understand the current trend for having a short galley door/ hatch, and having the area thus hidden accessed via a side-sliding drawer. It's a terrible waste of space, in something which doesn't have any space to spare. This issue is then exacerbated by having a work-top in the galley at chest level, meaning you'd just about have to stand on a box to access it. It's good of Cedar Ridge to provide a tow-animal, though. :)
Thank you for your input! Every design has its ups and downs, and every customer has their opinion of what's best, that's for sure. The counter height is not too high for the "average" user; our founder's wife is 5' 2" and it was designed to work well for her. The AT version is 2-3" lower and still plenty capable for off-road if that counter height is truly an issue. There is no waste of space in this unit - under the counter is packed with electronics, massive lithium battery, storage drawers, and more! - Again, thanks for your input, and let us know if you have more questions.
Would I be able to put on a 12’ Hobie kayak on top and strap her down for trips?
Yes. Roof rack has a 400lb. capacity.
Is the material attached to the ceiling a wood panel? How is it possible to construct on curved surfaces?
It is not real wood. It is a composite material.
Love it!!!!! Great camper!!! I gotta add my two cents though:) I definitely see value there!!! My observations are the reading lights may be a bit low. Other than that??? It is fantastic! I just have one question, is there any system under the mattress to allow for airflow? Or is it just flat on the floor?
Hello - thank you for your input. The reading lights have a 360 degree rotation on the head, so they can be aimed up, or down at whatever is needed to be lit. The mattress lies flat on the floor - under it are two storage compartments and access to the water tank and pump.
How much ?
Beautiful camper!
We agree!
@@cedarridgecampers9764 do sell the campers in Europe?
😂
😂
This Thing looks awesome
It IS awesome! :)
Looks like an awesome customizable trailer. I had a question, though. I heard that the trailer is built with fiberglass. I was wondering if this is a single piece construction?
Yes, the fiberglass composite construction is chemically molded into one piece during the production process. This means no possibility for seam leaks, since they don't exist.
@@cedarridgecampers9764 Thanks for the reply. That is fantastic information and makes this an amazing trailer.
what is the total height as it sits in this configuration?
The total height of this camper with the roof rack is just under 7'.
Is there an XT walk through yet?
We have an inventory forest green XT that we will be videoing a walk through with soon! We just got back from Overland Expo MTN West with it. It's an amazing camper!
Undeniably expensive but high quality. When you consider materials, skilled labor, and the low manufacturing volume of trailers like these the price makes more sense economically. It’s a personal decision if the value is there for you on how much you camp and where you like to camp. Obviously a trailer like this will go places lower cost big box campers won’t. Also, if you compare this Vega to other offroad teardrops from Bean and Escapod, the price is competitive. One other thing to consider, I bet you will buy 3-4 campers made from sticks and glue in Indiana in the amount of time this one will last. Just my 2 cents…
Thanks for your .02! Although we know price point is important, we also know what it takes to build this quality of trailer. No billionaire CEOs making loads of cash here! It all goes back into making a quality product and R&D for future models and expansion. We are confident our camper, when compared including the same features (not unequally), is a better value than any other camper on the market. Fiberglass composite construction, welded steel frame, timbren axle-less suspension, and much, much more are the features we include standard. Thanks for the comment! Yes, this one will last a lifetime.
Looks amazing! Good job
I'm so excited about this adventure machine! Well done Cedar Ridge!
Yes we are LOVE OUR CAMPER. THANK YOU. BEAUTIFUL CRAFTMANSHIP
Thank you!
Very nice innovations
Thank you! Cheers!
Very nice . Covers just about all your needs. Excellent video.
Thanks for watching

It's lovely!
These how to series are nice for new owners. I have had my cedar ridge for over a year now and put around 7000 miles on it. I think it would be helpful for all of us who have had them for a while if you would do a maintenace video showing wheel bearing, brakes, suspension greasing point etc... Just an overall maintenance on what and how to maintain our trailers.
Hello! Thanks for the input. Look for an "owner's maintenance" video to drop soon!
What a beautiful camper very thought out.
We agree!
The entire back should be a door. Rain cover over head, plus fridge can pull out on a slide under the counter. I would never buy a tear drop with only a half kitchen covered ..!
Hello - thank you for your input! Our Deneb model has more the features that you're talking about. It's a square drop so the whole back hinges up for a rain cover and there is a fridge slideout in the galley. Regards
Simple and clean. Sleek, amazing design.
You got it!
Down payment on house. Gone…..
November, expect my order.
Yes!
Really nice trailer.
We agree!
Please go with the cruise master running gear next year. As someone in the market for a high end teardrop I will tell you timbren is a dirty word at this point.
Timbren has gotten a bad rap from people who have installed either the wrong size or installed them incorrectly. We have extensively tested Timbrens on and off road and are very happy with the way they perform. When we designed the Vega 2.0, it originally had the cruisemaster suspension, but when we started testing it, there where a few things that we still preferred the Timbrens in. We may test Cruisemaster out in the future again but for now we will stick with the Timbrens.
SAving up now to buy one in November. Im sold
👏🏼 looking forward to it!
Really like the Vega 2, I Believe my Subaru Wilderness Outback can handle it!
Yes, absolutely. Your Outback is rated for up to 3,500 lbs. towing capacity, and our trailers ranged from 1,200-1,900 lbs. dry. That gives you plenty of leeway to add all your food, extra storage, clothes, etc and still be well below your "max" towing capacity.
Nice!
Thanks!
Nice!

If more mfgs made these trailers at a pricepoint of $20K, they wouldnt be able to make them fast enough. But these $35K-$50K prices are absurd. I can buy a 2024 Toyota Tacoma for that.
