@@bendutton I have learned that my midfoot (where the arch is) is not very wide but my toes in my toe box are super super wide. Essentially, my feet are duck foot shaped. This was just my first year reviewing, and I had to go up half a size and adapt to the shoes being too big. This year- I have found a lot better options. So next years list will have better wide foot options and- huge fan of the agelbursts!

@@maurolinoignacio3615 have you tried swapping out the midsoles in each pair and seeing how much of a difference that makes?

@@ttvWideShoes so with the P1P I used the strength midsole first and then bought the support because I have flat feet and throught it would help with my arches more however those didn't work for me and it caused pain in the outer area around my pinky toe. so I continued using the strength until the explosives came out and I got those. since then I've only used the explosives, but to me it's only a bit better, not necessarily a game changer. it does make the shoe fit more snug because I believe it's thicker

@@maurolinoignacio3615 I have really high arches- so I don’t have the same issues that you do. I have a few more reviews in the tank, and am saving them up before I do a small surgery on my foot (I broke my foot), so that way I can have uploads while I recover

If you could just try them on foot and then put them back in the box really carefully you can return them. But I understand what you mean. Overall, I think you will be OK.

@@ttvWideShoes Gotcha, yea I I want to be able to trash them and send them back if it didn’t work out lol. That’s part of the reason I have only been able to stick with Nike’ms lately (plus Zoom lasts longer than foams and it usually works better for me with impact protection). Dick Sporting Goods is the only other place I will buy from because their return policy is also awesome, plus they offer more than Nike.

@@ttvWideShoes fit is definitely #1. after that cushioning is nice, i'd prefer some more cushion over court feel. other than that, traction doesn't matter cause everything seems to work for me

@@ttvWideShoes i guess containment/lockdown goes with fit too cause i've been playing in the witness 7's but they don't have the best lockdown/containment. the upper is too flimsy

@@ichiagou the witness 8 has the best lockdown, and the upper is significantly better. The lockdown on the 8’s is also superior to the gt cut academy. But- you will need to go up half a size to even a full size in the witness 8’s because they are super small.

@@ttvWideShoes my nxxt gen's are tight too i should try thinner socks. i have the ampd too all in 9.5. then yea i have the witness 8 in the 10.5 which is a bit long but i'm really locked down in them. i guess fit and lockdown are different, but you can't have a good fit without good lockdown

ok i think i'm gonna get these they're only like 45 USD. i'm actually gonna go remeasure my foot with the brannock device lol cause i recently got a bunch of shoes that are too snug that i'm gonna get rid of. size 9.5 in the witness 7 is a good fit for me though. also in the lebron 15 and 16. 9.5 in the lebron 19 was a bit too snug though i could've went in a 10 on that one. also lebron NXXT, NXXT ampd, and even the lebron 21 in 9.5 were too snug i should've went with a 10 on those but yea i think i'm probably gonna end up getting either 10 or 10.5 in the witness 8's. i'm probably done with getting shoes in 9.5 though it's usually too snug of a fit for me

Both are good, in terms of durability, it’s really neck and neck. If you want something bouncier the gt academy is better. If you want something with better traction- the witness 8 is better. What preferences do you have?

@@ttvWideShoes I'm currently using Puma Playmaker Pro and wanted shoes that were less heavy. I play as a shooting guard. My main preferences are cushioning, impact protection, durability (on cemented courts) and ankle support. I've ordered the GT cut academy but noticed that the witness 8's were available at the same price, so was confused whether I should return the academy and get the witness

@@ttvWideShoes Man that is crazy that the cushioning gets even lower to the ground in the 17s, I thought the 16 was low enough in the forefoot! They start off pretty thick feeling but I was disappointed to find that it was really the insole (after really breaking them in more).

@@jrdatrackstar I didn’t like the KD 16 at first, but after breaking it in, I really do like it now. But it took so long to break in.

@@jrdatrackstar the cushioning, it was really bad for me at first but after some time it changed and got super good. The shoe also molded to my foot over time

@@makaveli8859 they are great for wide footers and for outdoors, but I have heard mixed things about the fit. I think they are great if they fit you well. Durability is their main selling point- catered towards outdoor players

Thank you so much for the comment. Currently, I have heard from many reviewers that the shoe is narrow and will see if I can fit them into my schedule. I’m currently moving and have about 4 reviews I’m working on now. If you want to see a wide footer’s perspective- check out Tommy Liu’s UA-cam video on them. He’s a great wide foot reviewer who is really valid.
