Yoshimura Full EXHAUST INSTALL on Ninja 650/Z650
I'm planning to buy my first bike, a '09 zx6r when I finish college. Then sell the zx6r after maybe like 2-4 years then buy a '15 ninja H2 with the help of the zx6r's money. a valid plan??? please help
@@JJQVJ 2-4 years to get used to how to control a bike is solid but the price from a zx6 and H2 are considerable. If you can get it, I’d say go for it and enjoy the ride
@@CHANCE_MOTO the zx costs 3k and the H2 costs 5k usd, I would say I really wanted to go for the H2 instantly because both are almost same price but after some research I understood that I need some experience first. Experience doesn't come with money, but with time. I really appreciate you and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. That's the plan and I'm gonna stick to it for the rest of my life ❤️🙏🏻
Nice job just in time about to do my kids bike thanks
@@jerryandres5386 Hope it’s a less messy experience then mine lol
What sports bike would you recommend for a new rider with no experience at all?
Ninja 650 if you want comfort or R7 if you want race position. Both 2 cylinders with enough power to grow into and not lose control. If you're on a budget then the 400cc would be the best choice (R3 or Ninja 400).
I don't know if you ended up doing it off camera but when you're removing the lines and everything, it's nice to take the opportunity to fully clean the caliper and caliper pistons before you push them back in so it doesn't push the dirt and stuff into the seal. Also a good opportunity to push each piston by hand to see if it's still moving smoothly.
@@Evo_Spec I cleaned the front a little but not like that and changed all seals on the rear completely. Definitely will that next time, thanks!
Just go in from left side get straight on to the clip on number 3
@@philhutchinson1966 I’ll try that next time, ended up using a 90 degree carb tool
Teria que testar o segundo escape em lugar aberto, assim com fez com o original.
You said you didn't have a tune since the exhaust but do you have a tune on the bike or even just an ECU flash?
@@sekinchance5186 Nope, the bike is still stock tuned from factory
I haven't been on a motorcycle in decades. There is so little to that fender and it is so far from the tire I don't understand why removing it improves anything.
@@DavidBostock-ti2fv It doesn’t do anything besides a cosmetic preference l, that’s about it
Love the content. I’m struggling getting my fairings back on correctly. I bought plastics with no instructions and it’s killing me. Any tips would help. I’ve look at diagrams but it is aids.
@@jacobchmielewski3622 I’ll be getting mine in shortly, but I know a lot of them do not have instructions and may need to drill holes to get them to fit in. Which company did you go with?
@@CHANCE_MOTO ZXMT. This is my first rebuild or anything mechanical in general. Your videos are infinitely better than anything else I’ve seen or read. I’m starting to understand little more each day. I have gas in my oil and plan on doing a full rebuild this winter. I will use all your videos as reference. ( hardest part with the plastics for me, is knowing what size bolt and where to use them ) length, etc. Idk what a rivet was before this
@@jacobchmielewski3622 Appreciate the support, kinda feel bad now cuz this series wasn’t meant to be how-tos or I would’ve been more thorough… I’ll do a video when I put the new fairings on but mine was sent from Monster Fairings

I doubt theyd care about that call about me
@@BladesOfGorey damn 😢
Does it need remapping?
@@morthread017 Tune is always recommended for a full exhaust but it will run fine without one for these Yoshis
if you go to the outside for those turns you could hold a lot more speed instead of being on the inside and having to slow down so much
@@willsohrnberger2441 Yeah I’ve gotten much better at the technique!
How about starting in the mountains and ending at the beach ⛱️😍

@@maxkaczmarek9257 I’m already up to part 5 😁
you missed recording removal of ram air...
@@maxkaczmarek9257 Yeeah about that, it wasn’t even on. When I started removing other things, they fell off the headlights lol and didn’t show, it is a beater bike I am trying to restore
you rebuilding the motor as well?
@@maxkaczmarek9257 No, luckily for this one the motor is still pretty good and I currently do not have the right tools for motor work
Hi, so thanks for the instructions. So clear and better than anyone ive seen 🎉 After oil and oil filter change tho, i started the engine and there are weird smoke and smell coming off the exhaust pipe near the oil filter. Do you suppose this was the oils that leaked or dropped when removing the oil filter? Thanks again!
Yes, it's just the oil burning off the exhaust, it'll be be a bit of smoke then disappear once it's all burned off. And thanks for watching, glad it was helpful!
@@CHANCE_MOTOthanks, appreciate the help.
Great job. With the tools needed and getting oil everywhere, I'm not sure I would do my own fork seals XD Are you getting new fairings? Repainting the current fairings? or leaving them as is? Are the current fairings OEM?
@@Evo_Spec I’m still cleaning the oil spots on my workbench haha But I get that, it’s definitely a messy task! And I got completely new fairing from Monster Fairings, just waiting on then to come in & my current ones I believe were not OEM when I bought it

that sprocket bolt XD The joys of working on a neglected bike lol. My 06 ZX-6R was missing so much hardware, most things only had 1 or 2 bolts holding them in.
Haha my brain was fried! Glad you were able to hopefully get that ZX back on the road! Can't wait to get mine out
nice job man keep it up im rootin for ya i just got my 03 fz1 back together and its a nice feeling cant wait to see this bike run

Perfect day to you ride your bike
@@AllieFox-lo6cj Weather has been great this week!
Yeah the weather be fine for me I went race last night
Is this a slip on or full?
@@brwnsgr3245 This is a full, the 650s can’t have slip-on since it’s all welded for the stock
are you sure you put that new spacer on there correctly? the diagram i got says it goes on the inside section of the chassis bolt, not the outside.
@@jown_iv Pretty sure I did. I don’t have the diagram anymore but it hasn’t fallen off in a year of riding haha

hey I just swapped my engine on my 2007 r1 and everything is fine but I made a mistake of not taking pictures of the wiring and where they go can you make a short video showing where each plug and wires go?
I’ll try my best to get something this weekend for it!
@@CHANCE_MOTO yeah there’s also 3 grounds one is for the ststor and I have no idea where the other 2 go one of them had like a little curve on the side and the other one is a square shaped wish the manual was better at explaining things
actually figured out where they go one of them is just a ground the square shaped one and the other one is a negative battery ground they both go together. If you need any help lmk I've literally just swapped my engine to a new one and it was a bit of a pain in the ass now all I got left is recconecting all of the wires and putting the throttle bodies back in
@@CHANCE_MOTO also idk if you already done this with your r1 but I recommend you swap the flywheel the OEM one is known for the magnets just breaking which is what happened to my old engine and it fully destroyed it
