Having watched these shows for a very long time, I've come to the conclusion that these church going people are anything but Christians. They call upon their god to help them do things beneficial only to themselves like winning the lottery, or making sure their ex isn't cheating on them - all sorts of meaningless rubbish and yet, when it comes to running their own lives they get into so much trouble because they're too foolish to work things out logically and philosophically and without weighing up the possible outcome of their situation.

Ooh, that Roxanne's attitude would be very hard to compete with.
