I just lost a good friend from high school 3 days ago who battled cancer. I hadn't seen her in these last 40 years now, but her impression on me is exactly what this music speaks. She was also a talented flute player in our school orchestra. Miss u so much Michelle 😢.

When I was a teenager I met a beautiful young lady but being a stupid fool I didn’t appreciate what I had and I ended things but I never really stopped thinking of her but she moved on and met and married another man and this was a favourite film of theirs then the lady in question and I had a chance meeting some 10 years after we’d split up and I told her I’d always regretted ending our relationship all those years before and to my joy she told me that I had always been the one she’d wanted . That was 31 years ago and we’ve been married now for 28 years and as happy as ever but whenever I hear this amazing piece of music I always think about those 10 years I lost with her , For my Mary x

And of course, you can't view the video scene anymore, (with Richard and Julia), and this audio track. It was available years ago, but now is gone. Must've been patented, then infringed. Too bad. It was a great scene, with this composition. Have-ta watch the movie now, to enjoy it. (Still have it on VHS) :)

Not even three minutes ... so brief. Yet so rich, it feels so much more. A joy for the senses. Julia Roberts and Richard Gere were magical. And this piece ... and "Fallen" gave their scenes the emotional heft that made the movie soar and endure almost 35 years on. And will continue to be loved by millions for the memories it evokes.
