Seams like David got do movie with him twice
A shame Robert didn't get to star in Claire's Denis Johnson adaptation due to scheduling conflicts. I hope they work together again.

5:51 OMG, WE NEED THAT COLLAB, MR CRONENBERG! IT'S BEEN YEARS, WHERE IS IT?
Just wanna tell you all David Cronenberg despises superhero movies and yet he openly praised Robert Pattinson's Batman.
Listening to Cronenberg and Claire Danis talked about him is so adorable 😂 it's like grannies talking about their grandson lol
Wow, what Cronenberg said about the charisma required to play a role in Twilight is so interesting. I’ve dismissed that era of his acting for his much meatier roles, but Cronenberg has an excellent point.
he alwys looks like he wants a cig so bad........
somethin bout eggers is....amusing.
3:17 classic jew
BATTINSON 🦇🦇🦇
Credit to Cronenberg for seeing past Twilight and recognising Pattinson's real talent. He was one of the first directors to do so post-Twilight, and now look where we are.
Cronenberg generally comes off as such a sophisticated professional, I like the way he talks. He's so real. Gotta check out more of his commentaries.
Pattinson is one of the most interesting and unique actors of our times. He can change not only his accents but also his whole body language and mannerisms. And he doesn't allow himself to be typecasted. All his movies and characters are totally different.
This isn't the first time ive heard that Pattinson really dissappears into his roles... I noticed this also when watching him in The Batman, looking into his eyes the dude actually believed he was The Batman
“We don’t have any roles for Pattinson.” *proceeds to put him in the main role*
Cosmopolis was boring
The volume jumps on this video make it unwatchable.
Interesting that the directors/actors that were skeptical to work with Pattinson at first only because they thought he's too handsome like a model. Not that they were skeptical about his acting skills. But he's proving them wrong each time that he's more than just a handsome face.
Rob is a really great actor, he portrays all his character well, if you watch all his movies you can really tell. My favorite one is bel ami because his character is so greedy and he portrays him very well that I actually hate him (the character), even though he’s the main character he is meant to be hated.
This video is a gold Thanks for the collection!
Robert Pattinson and Williem Dafoe in a movie, The Lighthouse. Fantastic!
Rob Pattinson's good. Very good. That comments from these directors are amazing.
Harry Potter, twilight, the 911, those three movies we’re the best, the rest are crap, all talk talk talk. He’s not. That interesting.
Get out of here
Get the hell out

@@gabrielswayze4506 y r u laughing?
I think actors who were known for a very specific role especially a franchise or iconic character and then break out of it into edgier and more demanding, more developed, more obscure characters are my absolute favorite to watch. I was completely indifferent to Rob Pattinson until I randomly watched the movie The Lighthouse. I gained a huge amount of respect for him as an actor after that. He's a huge talent and beautifully interesting
Him and those adidas i swear...
Robert pattinson ❤❤❤
Maybe people should ask Stephenie Meyer how she feels about Rob because she, the writer of Edward Cullen loved Rob and said he is one of the few people who gets Edward. Even prior to Meyer giving Rob a draft of Midnight Sun, Meyer said he gets the essence of Edward. Even if he went through Breaking Dawn press like he didn’t like it, Meyer praised his performance as he didn’t break character despite being tired of all the press surrounding it.
Exactly. People like to sh*t on Twilight, and sure that's their prerogative, but he did truly embody the character. It was spot on. I read the books before way before the movies were even announced, and he blew me away with how he played it to a T... Kristen Stewart as well, actually. They're both great actors, bit of a shame people don't give them a chance half the time, but maybe now they will.
Meyer gets a lot of flak for her writing but she always comes off as classy and sensible in her interviews. Very classy. The criticism the books got may have been deserved but the attacks on her person were wholly uncalled for.
Thank you for adding the sources
Rob, we love you!
I am curious how cheap he was by then lol
Not a big salary but collaboration with great directors! He definitely can afford it
thank you for this piece!!! very interesting.
Robert Pattinson have a good relationship with directors, so probably the robert Pattinson vs matt reeves is just rumor
It's not even a rumor, it's totally made up bullsh!t. Rob is one of the most professional actors who ever made a film, and he's also extremely respectful of his directors. The proof is that they work with him more than once. He's made two films with Cronenberg and Michold,, is going to make another one with Claire Denis at the end of this year, and Eggers is eager to work with him again. It's insane to think he's giving Matt Reeves a hard time, it's simply not possible. And everyone who has worked on The Batman only has good things to say. These fake rumors are designed to create negativity about Pattinson and the film by dumb fanboys who are either Marvel fans or fans of some other director who feel threatened by Pattinson or Batman.
Finally somebody raises this question! It do wrong and dirty to even spread this kind of info...probably just somebody hasn't seen any other film but twilight or blind in hatred of his performances. As many interviews as the directors: they all just pray on his professionalism and determination to his work! Batman or not his is much appreciated
It’s been recently reported by industry insider Daniel Richtman that Pattison’s salary is going from just under $5M for the 1st film to $20M upfront for the next film. If true, this would seem to be completely contrary to what appears to be a smear campaign.
@@swakyaby3339 I think all those salary numbers are total speculation. It's likely that Pattinson has a reasonable salary for the first film and a percentage of the gross--points. That's the kind of deal he had for his last franchise role, and it earned him at least $40 million, back in 2011. He isn't doing films for the paycheck now, he's said he'd rather quit acting that just do a film for money. But he's also not going to sell himself cheap for a role like Batman. In any case, all the negative rumors have been total fabrications. He's one of the easiest actors to get along with and all his directors praise him, including Nolan and everyone knows how tough he is.
@@a.madison9625 he said he already making enough money for retired from twilight so that's why he choose indie instead
Thank you so much for compiling this! Hope this video gets longer and longer, meaning Robert gets more collaboration with outstanding directors around the world :-D
1:54 Rob was not DEEEELUUUUSSIOOONS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow everybody likes him! I guess Rob is a nice and friendly guy to be around, I would like to be his friend
This video proves the rumor of dumbcock that Robert Pattinson is hard to work with is a whole lot of bullshit
On the contrary, he is so easy to work with.
I don't know why after watching this video I think it's the opposite, the way they explain it, like there is a little tension or something, except for Claire Denis, she clearly understands him. But Robert is very good actor and maybe it's the way he approaches the role, or his method that make him hard to work with. But they all admitted that he is good actor, intelligent and charming.
43:11 “I am!” ... “I am!” ... “I ain’t!” 😂😂😂 +babypattinson
It's pretty terrifying, doing that up in that height.
this is why so many actors are crazy notice the director said you watch them on UA-cam and you see how seriously they take themselves as so just think if you go on a The tonight show or your interviewing on UA-cam the directors are watching and wondering if you would be good for a certain role.. kind of drive you crazy
I like the first director. “What did you see in Robert?” - *”He’s cheap”*
Cronenberg was teasing. He's like Rob's grandfather. They have a very funny relationship.
I wonder how cheap he was by then lol
@@carolinahu485 He didn't mean it like that. He meant that he wasn't charging a lot of salary to be in a little indie. You would expect the star of a huge franchise like Twilight to demand $5 million to star in a film. Rob wasn't doing indies for the money, he was doing it to work with the directors he wanted to work with. Personally he's know as one of the most generous people ever. He often picks up the tab in a bar or restaurant and is a good tipper.
he is not wrong tbh. you obviously need a cheaper but a actor with a good amount of fame and credibility when you are making a movie with a budget of 20-25 million. coz if you go for a big household actor, then his salary alone will eat the whole budget or if you go for a more cheaper unknown actor, then nobody will show any interest in watching the movie at all
would be very cool to see Pattinson and Mortensson in a sequel to Eastern Promises.
I love that film so much, a shame the sequel never happened.
I love Robert but I don't like Twilight: /
15:02 “I do” :::: pats his back
My perception of Rob underwent a complete 180 in the past 5-6 years, he’s in the same bracket as someone like Shia LaBeouf in my opinion. Both very hardworking individuals who’ve made their names for both the good and bad reasons yet can still come out on top.
i dont think you should compare actors. pattinson is a wonderful person. shia is great too but i dont think specifically their success could be compared. rob hasnt been famous for that long, and he's still done all these wonderful beautiful interesting things. people love him, he's a nice guy. you have to remember they come from different backgrounds. not fair to compare people.
I agree
As a straight man I need Robert to sit on my face
Same.
Robert Pattinson is a very skilled and versatile actor. Also, he can really change his accent when he had to. Also, very humble, chill and curious about things.
He doesn't just change his accents, he changes his cadence and voice too, which to me, is way more important and significant than accent works.
20:29 is how i pretty much feel whenever i get any kind of recognition or recommendation
Robert and Viggo in a movie together, ahh yes please! I would love to see that movie :)
As a father/son duo.
I love how much they all adore Robert and that they’re not shy about admitting they find him very attractive.
i need timestamps of every time they said it
He is a absolutely stunning in person

I love the way Claire Denis talks about him. It’s endearing. She’s so lovely.
Igree. She is so soft and sincere!
Anyone else snooze at Claire Denis o'clock?
