The samurai class is good. You don’t have the stats for the shield you’re using. That’s why your character is moving slow. Go back to your original shield until you get to the part where you can level up.

Use the furcalling remedy near the summoning pool in the beginning to summon other players to help you get it your game. Just be aware of invaders.

You level up by spending the runes you get from the game at the site of grace.

I have an archer build myself. Once you’ve mastered the aiming, you will breeze through this game.
