@@zachreads oh my gosh that would be so interesting to see if you find it equally annoying or if you found it enjoyable! I saw on Goodreads there were a few left leaning individuals who really didn’t like it as well and thought the narrative was so forced it was fake BUT there was also a good amount of people who did enjoy it and loved having a 50 year old woman going through menopause as the main character sooooo I’d be interested to know your thoughts!! Also that sounds like a really good video idea!! I already have a few books out of my comfort zone that I do want to read and it would make a really good video!

@@zachreads oh my gosh that’s why I kept getting confused because I was like “I think he did the movies but I don’t think he was the original creator?” And I was so confused 🤭 Thank you for correcting me!! Also yes, I bought a microphone 5 years ago when I did a lot of photography and cinematography and totally forgot and I found it cleaning one day and was like “oh my gosh, I didn’t even remember I have this very nice mic, why am I using the cheap one the camera came with???” I’ll ask my friend if she’s read that author before!! It sounds like a good book though, I loved reading the Pokémon manga as a kid and I don’t know if you read the book The Magicians (they turned it into a TV show) but that was such a good book as well and the one you’re describing very loosely reminds me of it (really just the magic assassins lol) The channel name actually came from the fact that for like a year I was just reading books random people suggested I read when they found out I like to read and then I would recommend the book to someone else and I just kept saying “a friend of mine had me read this” and I turned it into a funny name 🤭

@@KathyTrithardt yes!! I will literally just unfollow a book reviewer when they’re like “all my reviews never have criticism because the author will read the review and it will hurt their feelings. We need to be respectful” UMMMMMM????? Also, if I see a book reviewer and most of the comments are from authors 🙈 no thank you. I don’t mind buying the book or going to the library 🤷🏽‍♀️

@@myfriendmademereadit Authors are cool and all but the reason I read isn't be become their friends. That would be like never saying a movie had issues because you are under some delusion that a filmmaker/actor has a better chance of befriending you.

@@phoenix4665 as 👏🏽 it 👏🏽 should 👏🏽 be 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 a 5 star means that book is going to haunt me for the rest of my life 😭 this is why I try not to just give a 5 star rating after I’ve read something, the feelings are high and it might just be a high 3 star or 4 star book.

For the foxes -Nine Tailed by Jayci Lee 3.75☆ (small amount of spice) -The Fox Wife by Yangsze Choo 4.25☆ (no spice) -the Shodow of the Fox trilogy 5☆×3 -Taming the Storm by Avery Phoenix (havnt gotten to it pbly spicy) For the Dinos -Raptor Red by Robert T Bakker 4☆ (no spice) -The Fossil Hunter by Tea Cooper 4.5 (good clean historical mystery) -Peimordial Earth by Baileigh Higgins 1.5☆ (clean) And a few other options but thats the main plan for DFST!

@@nightcoreyuno it is in my July Wrap Up if you want a more detailed review but overall, I felt there was a huge missed opportunity with the plot line. It focused more on the war than the romance that we got in book 1 and it felt very confusing and wordy at times. I still enjoyed it and felt it was a good ending to the duology but there were definitely parts in the book I wished were significantly different.

@@Leeyahlovesreading oh absolutely, sometimes the prices get ridiculous and I am of the age where I remember books costing $4.99 for a new release and that was wild because it was cheaper before that too!!! I literally bought Bag of Bones by Stephen King in 1998 for $2.99 when it released! Idk where the publishers took a left that said “ya know what, let’s charge more for a book than going out to dinner because books are food, they feed the mind with knowledge and everyone knows knowledge is power and who cares if they die of hunger 🤷🏽‍♀️” lolololol

But yeah legit like all this money I’ve spent could’ve gone towards something else😭 Like this one time I had 50 bucks, and I was only able to get 4 books. I had to calculate them and everything to get as many as I could 😭 but i guess with everything going on the authors AND shops need more money so they had to up the prices 😔

@@Leeyahlovesreading inflation sucks 😭 like I understand, we all need money, it’s just rough out there! That’s why I go on a book buying ban every other year to make sure I am not going broke 😭 I also try to go when my library does book clear out sales where the books are ten cents each and of course free library’s at random locations! And yeah, coupons/gift cards/points and then sales are great as well! I think reading is just as if not more expensive than playing hockey 😅
