Uploading this so that it's a more fluid watching experience, and so that we don't lose it in case the originals are deleted. This 'fan edit' is just all 7 parts stitched together. Sorry about the subtitles, i wish they were a toggle but the original uploads without them were deleted/removed years ago sadly.
Their account for Japan still has/had the subtitled version up, so that's why those are there. not a bad thing though, more people to hear the good word and further bring us together.
This is done from a place of love for the music and the scene, and no ads will ever be placed on this video by me. if they appear, the copyright owners had them placed. thank you for watching, hope you enjoy.

the cemetery by 45:09 is amazing. thank you for posting this and for so many reflections. you have my respect 🤘
All losers. Wannabe PanterAs. None of them exist anymore. The ones that do are opening acts for a bar tab. PanterA still alive due to Dime and Vince
Shittiest city in the US. Murder capital. Living off Dime and Vince. They were from Texas. Not from this shit dump hole

Dude I love you! Thank you! I hate having to switch apps to play them. I have the cds tho
Bout time Melvins got their due on creating a genre that exploded.
Phil is a Nazi. I have zero respect for them.
🦅
Phil is intense. What a touching tribute to Dime. That brings tears to my eyes
I got into sludge metal when I saw Crowbar open up for Pantera in SF in 94. Once I started working at Tower in late 94, the floodgates opened
Great documentary y’all yet, U fuckin missed the Mighty Exhorder.

Why every drumer whit small kit?
Down NOLA is just Perfect
Southern State of mind
"Once they got Gluey Porch Treatments them pill poppin' burnouts were off to the races!" -- Pepper Keenan with the concise history of Eyehategod. Thou rules, as does barely-mentioned NOLA heavyweights Soilent Green.
insane how much pantera after cowboys sounds like exhorder
Phill is the kid yo
EYEHATEGOD to me is the grandfather's of sludge with ACIDBATH
28:53 anyone know if this email/paypal is still in use?
@th6368 It's still included/mentioned on Eyehategods website and they've been fairly on top of the site in recent years but that's about all I know regarding it. I'm sure if you emailed them you could get some info! As long as it's not malicious and you're respectful, it should be fine!
I have enjoyed quite a few of the bands mentioned but holy shit this documentary was fascinating.
Thanks for piecing this all together
Wow. Great work.
I love this. I'm humming riffs while watching this.
I'm from New Orleans and have always despised this genre of music. Screaming angry white guys over ridiculously drop tuned guitars. Absolute musical diarrhea. I also get southern pride Confederate vibes from a lot of sludge bands. Such a terrible genre of music made by terrible people.
For me the best riffs ever are in southern metal and subgenres
Phil demonstrated proper crawfish eating technique. Folks who eat the tails without removing the shit-sack gross me out.
🙌
I got to take a shit
They always gotta call New Orleans a bayou; it's a port city on the Mississippi
Proud to live in the hometown Acid Bath was formed in. Dax is well known in the community and one of the biggest inspirations of this area in regards to metalheads.
Fantastic documentary!!
Phil drives a truck exactly like mine. I wonder if he ever got mad and shot holes in his
Crowbar just amazing. First sludge I listened to. Incredible.
I disapprove of Phil's crawfish eating technique. 1:12:11 This is the training wheels version of eating crawfish
Woop!
