Thank you! I'm not sure the exact amount left over, but my guess is that the model uses about half of the pieces from the set. It's hard to tell though because there are so many small pieces in the Millennium Falcon set.

Good to know - I always wanted the original Eldorado Fortress, so I will have to grab the new one before it retires. But it would be nice to have some sets that cost less than $200 someday!

Thanks, @londond9800! I enjoy building and coming up with alternate builds, so I want to share with others. It just takes a long time, and like everyone else, time is short to come by in this season! It's been a while, so I'm not sure. My guess is that about half of the parts are used, depending on the alternate build. The X-wing uses the least amount of parts and the B-wing probably has the most.

That's the best thing about LEGO - you can modify it and add to the creation as much as you want! Those are great ideas and I might need to try some of them!

I'd recommend checking Facebook Marketplace if you can find it locally. Otherwise Bricklink and Ebay would most likely be the best options - good luck and happy building!

There's something about the combo of blue, orange, and white that really stands out! I have a few of the smaller sets, but now I wish I had the large spaceship or the base from Ice Planet.

I always prefer generic minifigures to have the ability to be swapped as male or female, so no big deal there for me. And the siding technique was a thing of beauty--one of those instances when LEGO pieces fit so perfectly that you wonder how all of the math worked out. Also, I was surprised that this set didn't hit the 30,000 production limit during crowd-funding! When I first saw it, I thought it looked amazing and I think it looks even better in real life!

Good thoughts! And I agree that such a fun and imaginative theme like Western has been left on the side of the road it seems. I've actually started building another Western building--inspired by this model--so maybe it won't feel so alone.

For sure, and I agree with your points. But after not getting anything remotely "Western" since the Lone Ranger series (and even that wasn't necessarily "Western"), I'm just happy to have something official added to my collection. And who knows - maybe LEGO will see the enthusiasm and give us a little more in the future? I doubt it, but one can hope!

You're right that the 1998 theme isn't back, but my nostalgia for it is. Plus, if this one is received well, one can only hope that LEGO will actually bring it back to life!

There are several muskets, but some revolvers would make a great addition--perhaps hidden in the barrels? Thankfully I have plenty extra along with the bandits, deputy, and Sheriff!

That's a good idea - the set is really well done, but the price tag at full retail is a bit steep.

Each alternate model shares some of the same pieces from the one Millennium Falcon set, so you cannot have all 3 built at the same time... unless you wanted to buy 3 sets. However if you want all 3 models at the same time in a more cost-effective manner, I would recommend purchasing the $3 instructions/parts list on Rebrickable and then buying the extra needed parts on Bricklink since there are only a couple specifically unique pieces (like the cockpit, but it's only used in the B-wing model). Absolutely! I believe there were images of at least 2 or more alternate builds for all of the original 1999 Star Wars lineup, and I know that the large sets ($30 or more) included the comic in the instruction manual. I also have the original Darth Vader's Tie Fighter & Y-Wing set and the Podrace set, and both have pretty similar and entertaining comics. Thanks for watching the video, and I'm glad you enjoyed it!

My favorites are the western sets (which I'm planning to have some videos out this summer!), space factions, the original Star Wars lines, as well as Pirates and Castle. How about your favorites?
