RC speed helis are dieing...But should they?
First 30 seconds are pretty slow but I wanted to talk about how I think rc heli manufacturers might have missed the mark on speed helis.
Speed helis are tons of relaxed fun but demand high end electronics with a large open wallet to push everything to it's limit.... But what if we just did a little downsizing? Would the R&D & manufacturing of a 500 size speed heli be offset by the success? Let me know your thoughts.

New/M8 Softail Visor Trim Ring Mod
Переглядів 1,6 тис.3 роки тому
For some reason, no manufacturer has made a visor trim ring for our newer softails. i think its a classic look that the heritage absolutely needs. I show you how to make one for a Harley davidson softail heritage slim deluxe standard street bob low rider and sport glide.

This is a how to on how to change the fluids on your moto guzzi flying fortress mgx 21, california, elderado, & audace. Basically any guzzi with a 1400. Hope this helps you!
Idiot
Thank you for this! I’m having a 2016 Eldorado on the way and I’m trying to acquaint myself with all of the maintenance/adjustment needs. Excited
Lucky enough to have bought one of these 2 days ago. So super useful. Kudos to you 👍
Hi Mike! Interesting video! You said to cut out more or less one inch...is it possible for you to install directly a 5,75" trim ring? Thank you in advance for your reply😊
No way. Would be too small.
Awesome! Was this trim ring for a touring version? Any chance you have a part number?
It is for the touring bikes. Sorry no part number but any touring bike trim ring will work
Long time Guzzi rider here. Love the MGX and Audace. I notice that Guzzi used dress-up covers on the gearbox and starter motor side to modernize the look. No biggie, but I was really surprised, and a little disappointed to see that they used a cheap clip nut where you had trouble getting the gearbox drain cover bolt off. If you're not gentle threading the bolt back in they bend and make cross-threading very easy to do. That should have been a welded on nut or threaded boss. Clip nuts have been around for decades in my industry - broadcasting, and once a screw cross threads in them and they break and spin, you're in trouble. I still have my '86 LeMans and have sold off the other Guzzis. I'll be looking for an MGX or Audace to replace the LeMans. Cheers.
Hey Erwin. Yeah tell me about it. I've had this thing apart a few times and GUZZI LOVES using those. I've run into the problem you're describing plenty of times haha. Mine is technically for sale depending on the area you live in.
Mah? Lavoro di merda fatto male e sporco ....non so da voi vi permettono di cambiare l'olio in mezzo alla strada? ...mah!
How much transmission fluids you need ???
I don't know how much exactly but it wasn't much. Maybe 1/3 the bottle.
Are there any video's on replacing LED low/ high beam for MGX-21
I changed those out but had to go with an H3 hid for the low beam and a h7 led for the high beam. There's just not enough room to install even the tiniest of leds in there that give you enough light
Thank you. What is the size of replacement oil filter ?
I'm going to try - HF565
Thst was sweet! But I dont think it came out unscathed!
only damage was my third break light got slapped by the sport bars. $30 for a new third brake light.
you should take off the actual headlight trim ring and show us what it looks like. and what about a gap between the light and the trim ring?
what exhaust are those? sweet looking bike
now go do the drivebox oil....
That only needs to be done every 25,000 miles. And its very very easy to do.
@@InvertedInsight did you do final drive oil? The one by the end of the drive shaft, thanks for the video , it helped me a lot
@@diegoelfeo1 Hey serg, not yet: i only have 3000miles on the bike currently. but its a very typical drive shaft oil change...90% of bikes are the same method to change the final drive oil. So you can look up any final drive oil change on almost any bike and itll be exactly the same.
@@InvertedInsight The 1400 Guzzi requires the rear wheel to be removed to change the final drive oil........ plan to do it when you replace the rear tire.
I would never do that with my ZR2. That sounded like it hurt.
Truck is mint my friend 👌
sounds like you need to downgrade to a Z71.
@@coghostfox hahahaha when i was into the racing scene also.... everyone around me had zr1 covettes, nissan GTRs, and all sorts of cool exotic cars. MOST of the owners were too scared to push them to 9/10ths and 10/10ths out on track. I was completely lapping GT4RS's in my little audi tts with jank tires. Most people just like to buy high end stuff just to say they have high end stuff...then never end up using them to their potential because they never bother to learn about what they bought. its sad. the coolest people are the ones that buy the high trim stuff AND use it. I aspire to be the coolest person i know :) Earn it and drive it like it was built to be driven 100%
@@InvertedInsight my ZR2 is not a garage queen. I'm building it up for fun high-speed offroad runs.
Someone did jump a Trx and about broke it in half lol
My dealer filled the gearbox of my California 1400 Touring with 75W90, so I wouldn't worry too much about using 80W90.
awesome !
HELL YEAH!!!
That is some huge air man. Makes for a great wallpaper haha. Be careful with repeated jumps though. Repeated bottoming out and smacking the frame will start to bend it. I know because I've done it to mine. They're badass trucks though and I'm still impressed with how much abuse mine's taken.
Haha of course! I actually got a sick picture of this! Wish I could share it cause it DOES make an awesome wallpaper
This trend going around to jump factory trucks like if they had pre runner long travel is ridiculous
Truck is designed to be abused. Sure I pushed it a bit but it goes to show the truck is extremely capable
I would never try this in mine!
@joal incontrol no sir, straight as an arrow 2 weeks later :)
@@InvertedInsight my bison just came in today. Good to see these things are tough! Did you have any mods done like hydraulic bump stops??!!
@@davidcerce get yourself a Z71 then
Very well done. Thank you
Great stuff!
Thanks for the video looks good. how often transmission oil needs to be changed?
Every 2 oil changes you should change transmission. same as valve adjustment.
Thanks Mike, great info. Did you add the bags to your audace?
@@billvandeven5272 no these are factory bags that come on an mgx 21
@@InvertedInsight user manual says every 10000 km, like the engine oil.
Great info Mike!! Thanks
