fox cub 04 08 24 4K
Well, the youngster beat the buzzard to the buffet yesterday ... and he meant having the lot 😄
7 chicks, two eggs, a bowl of dog biscuits (take away) and bird food - bet he needed a lie down after that snack 😄
The b&w image is of the adult male (different feeding spot) to compare how different their approaches are to picking the eggs up.

A buzzard and fox video today (with a few magpies too). It's a little bit longer than usual, but it's been a while since I posted fox or buzzard videos and I've tried to relate the story behind it. I still have, literally, hours of fox, buzzard, deer and game bird footage to process .... so prepare to get bombarded! I may have a bit more time soon as I'm going to be cutting down on feeding the ...

One of the fox cubs looking in good health. The other one is somewhere about and in a similar condition. There were 4 (dead) chicks for him but the buzzard managed to get them all, despite them being pinned down, so he's had to make do with dog biscuits (doesn't look to be keen on the apples). I do have a video of the buzzard with the chicks which I'll post later.

Stunning clarity ... what a difference a bit of light makes. The metal bowl with the stone on top is food for the fox .. otherwise there'll be nowt left for him Probably not the best video to watch if you're eating your tea 😔 Best viewed full screen Music Credit : Liborio Conti

Yesterday with the buzzard(s) ... think there may be two. Anyway, two pieces of chicken and the first buzzard got them both! Added a slo-mo bit of footage to show him getting the first piece. Previous day to this, I decided to take photos with the trail camera instead of videos .... 2653 photos later 😫. Back to videos from now on. Although I did capture photos of the fox 😀 Shame about that anno...

Think he's enjoying his supper. Nice of the buzzard to leave him some chicken for a change ... 😄 I've condensed this down from around 20 minutes to 3 minutes. There was either a lot of snap left or he's just a slow eater Music : And I Love You So (Don McLean) Cover by Arthur Miguel

Crikey! This is incredible !! Footage captured on my trail cam I've tied some chickens by their legs to try and prevent the magpies pilfering all the food resulting in the fox missing out on a meal. However, I didn't see this coming .... It all kicks off about 30 seconds in and it's absolutely spectacular ... so much so, I just had to add some music !!

Bit wet this morning so had a delve through my archives and knocked up a video vole montage from years past. Sadly, I've not seen the voles for a few weeks now. I have stopped feeding around where they used to be as the rats had moved in and taken over. Hopefully, they'll be back soon.

One of 3 or 4 rural foxes that I feed. This is an opportunist as the territory seems to be dominated by a vixen (with two cubs sighted this year). He's learnt to come early (about 7pm) as she tends to come a little later and does chase him away if she sees him. Music by Forest Music (Adobe Stock)

The vixen and her cub I managed to capture on my trail cam previously. Today, I managed to capture the dog fox with my camera ... much better quality! These are rural foxes, so a little more wary than the urban ones Music : Title : Hachiko The Faithful Dog Artist: The Kyoto Connection from the Album Wake Up

Unbelievable ability to almost rotate the head 360deg. Interestingly, they only seem to do this when in the hand.

Great video again Steve
That's not a buzzard
@@druboy7201 It certainly is. A common buzzard (UK)
@@MrMajoroake call them hawks here in the states.
Nádhera ♥️🇷🇺🤗
Милашка-малышка...
Great! Especial the LTT. What is in that pellet? I could only handfeed blue and some great tits. Robins are rare, they are everywhere, but only 1 or 2 in the same small area.
Thank you. They're suet pellets with mealworms in. LTT's love 'em. I initially attract them with half suet coconut feeders and then eventually get them on my hand. Ideal at this time of year to attract them when it's cold and they're hungry (I'm in UK)
@@MrMajoroak Thanks a lot! I never heard about this, in Hungary, there is no such thing as mealworm pellet, only one company import it from a neighbour country. Does it take time for them to eat it? Days, weeks? After all, it doesnt look anything like they know, so it must be strange for them. :)
@@MrMajoroak I think I didnt send the answer, if I did, sorry. So: Thank you very much! Here in Hungary this pellet is nearly non-existent, so I didnt hear about it. How much time did the LTT needed to get use to it? :) Since it is a new, unknown food for them.
Robins love them and are the easiest to hand feed. LTT's are more shy so took a bit longer, about a week maybe. But once they've been on my hand it's as if they know I'm a friend so they come readily. Try and get some coconut shells. Here in the UK they are filled with suet and birds love them, especially LTT's. From there, move on to the pellets in the hand. Takes patience but when they're hungry enough, they will come. Good luck.
Great shot steve
Cheers Eric. Much appreciated mate
How long did you have to wait till the first one braved coming over to feed off your hand?
About a couple of days (feeding suet pellets). Best times are in the colder months as natural food is not as plentiful. Once they've been on your hand once, they soon learn that you're not a threat. These are in the wild. Probably not have much success in a garden with bird feeders/tables as they will always take the safest option by using these. Hope this helps.
I have a bird box there's a bird meeting I left it alone so that the bird don't get disturbed
That's so cool
Hermosa la creación de Jehová ❤
Wow that's close up 👍Thanks for the chicken his face said

LTT hand feeding- awesome
Thank you
I had this video set to 'kids' so commenting was disabled. I've now amended it and would really appreciate your feedback. Thank you. Steve
How do u make them eat from hand
Hi Irfan. A lot of patience and food they love (suet pellets). Best times are in the colder months as natural food is not as plentiful. Hope this helps.
@@MrMajoroak hi. Thanks. Can u hand feed them in garden instead of park?
@@unknownqayyum It is more difficult in the garden as you will probably have bird feeders already there and they will not be as hungry as birds in the wild. Also, the birds will sooner go to the bird feeders than your hand. You could try putting your hand near a feeder but I have had very little success in the garden.
Brilliant, thanks !.
Thank you Matthew

Description says "suet pellets"
I feed them suet pellets ... they love them
Merci Je ne connaissais pas
Beautiful, hopefully sometime my robin will come to me.....
Thank you. Patience and suet pellets are the key ... and cold weather. Good luck.

Lovely to see her back with you Steve. x
Thanks Lynda. It was a lovely surprise. I see her most days now, but they're starting to fledge so they tend to flutter off if I get near
Just so lovely to sit and watch.
Thanks for watching, Lynda. More to come.
