I like the idea of a response . . . I hate the actual effort . . . or lack of. Write something original, don't just reuse the old tune. And a better singer wouldn't hurt either. Though, I do like that Richard Simmons is playing the drums. Perfect example of how to do it . . . Neil Young wrote Southern Man. Lynyrd Skynyrd put a response in Sweet Home Alabama. It's a fun part of music history. Your effort just relegates you to the forgotten.

How do we know Jenny didn't put her number out there herself? The conceit is that some prostitutes (or their pimps) write their numbers in men's restrooms in order to procure customers. Then, some passive/aggressive men (or other women) do the same in order to harass their former lovers or the women who spurned them. There is no legitimate reason for a man to advertise the beneficial company of a woman they actually like.

Great response and a long time a comin...So I wonder if that was the real Jenny from that infamous song or a singer that is indirectly empowering the OG Jenny? Either way, that was brilliant! Though I loved the song, I felt so bad for not only Jenny who probably got a lot of calls from horny males, but for all the other people who were unfortunate to have had that number since there wasn't an area code in the song. I read that the phone company finally took that phone number out of service and issue new numbers to all who were affected. Thanks Tommy Tutone, Not! Anyway, good job Jenny, absolutely brilliant!

So I just watched the original video and after it finished, I scrolled down to find another video to watch and saw this one. I thought yeah got to check that out. It did not disappoint. Well done. I think it would have been a great response video even in the 80s. I was 10 in '81 and lived on MTV videos. I'd guess as more people watch or re-watch the original they'll find yours as I did. Congrats. :)
