SD card in AKAI samplers (S1000 - S3200XL) - ZuluSCSI
Disk size limit = 510mb.
ID 6 is used by sampler so use HD0,HD1,HD2,HD3,HD4,HD5,HD7
CD images work as well, CD0.iso, CD1.iso etc
Example configuration:
HD4 = 10 partitions * 51mb, HD5 = 17 partitions * 30mb
S3000: DISK, HDSK, FORM, ARR
S3000XL: SAVE, SCSI, FORM, ARR

It's easier that's why many people use S3k to edit/chop then they load it into MPC

It's 2024 and there is _still_ no (convenient) way to faithfully repilcate this style of time stretching ITB. Someone needs to make a plugin similar to "Akaizer" that can run on Apple silicon in a DAW.
If Akaizer author agreed to release source code we would be able to compile it on modern platforms

What brand is that SD card reader and would it work for a ESI4000 as well? I assume yes.
There is no specific brand just search for SCSI2SD (ebay or retrocomputing shops like amigakit) but first click the link in description and check Compatibility section

i installed a amigakit v5.1 to my s3000xl i am able to format the disk but how can i load some files into the sd card because after i format it with the akai my mac need to initialise the sd card ? i saw some videos who someone works with an old pc and scsi pce card but i dont want to buy an old pc is there a possibilty to work with an mac? in these case

Different formats. You would need Translator 7 to convert first.

The esi 2000 lets me trim start and end with the pitch wheel on my midi keyboard, guessing it works on the 32 too...

My scsi2sd card fried over the weekend after year sof use. Looking into these Zulu ones. For my Akai s1100 & S3000 Classic I had to use USB power ( I had my card setup external and used to plug a usb cable into a wall plug to power it) do you still have to do that with the Zulu ones?
It works fine with S3000 but S1000 needs usb power
