Hey,
My name is Andy and this channel is all about POV mountain biking.
In the past I have mostly done trail centres, however I am now doing more and more exploratory mountain rides.
I live in Warwickshire which is possibly the worst place in the world for mountain biking! There isn't even a lump! This means I travel for my riding. I am currently exploring Snowdonia for great mountain rides, however I have been to the Cairngorm mountain range in Scotland and I have plans to get to the Lake District later this year

This trail is a fun, fast trail packed with features and views. I found my flow on this trail, finally got into the groove and really had some fun with it

This week I decided to take a break from mountain rides, and have a blast around a bike park. I felt that on the last few mountain rides I lacked a bit of confidence and the perfect way to re-gain it is to blast around some MTB trails. Cwmcarn didn't disappoint, I had a fantastic day!
This was the best descent i've ever seen, I just had no flow - Skiddaw - Lake District

My first time up to the Lake District and I picked Hellvelyn as my first mountain. It appears I jumped in at the deep end. The route I chose was to go up Sticks Pass, then down the opposite side (after 4 peaks on route!) I think if I was to tackle it again I would definitely do this route in reverse.

This one wasn't a big mountain ride as such, but a couple of trailforks trails joined together into a loop. with the e-Bike it was definitely worth the explore
Cadair Idris via Pony Path - This one was definitely worth it!

My first mountain visit to south Snowdonia. I had heard good things about this one and I wasn't disappointed. The descent was varied and great fun! I would definitely like to do it again via the other path too.
It wasn't until I was half way down that this one made sense - Pen-y-craig-gron MTB

First outing on the bike in 3 weeks and I picked the hottest day of the year so far! plus a big mountain to climb! Pen-y-craig-gron has been in my 'to do' list for a while armed with my new Garmin Edge 530 and a zebra I made a move on this mountain. Gwydir Bach - The Smaller Marin Trail

As some of you know I visited Bewts-Y-Coed Recently and did the full Marin Trail. Unfortunately that time the Camera had an issue where it didn't save any of the footage! This time, I had just ridden Carnedd Llewelyn and I had some energy so I came for a blast around Gwydir Bach (the smaller Marin loop) this was great fun! but missed some of the best bits out, so I will come back at some point ...

This was a first for me. The first time I had planned a mountain route on an unknown (to me) mountain on my own. if nothing else it has taught me a lot more about route planning! this is the first step to riding some really nice mountains in Snowdonia, now I just have to find them! www.strava.com/activities/5441546029

The second part of my visit to the Forest of Dean. The Verderers loop, but with diversions and re-surfacing. I also squeezed in a little Sheep Skull action on one of the Diversions.

After a bit of time off the bike I decided to take off to the Forest of Dean one Thursday Evening. I managed quite a bit of riding that evening, here is the first video, the Freeminers loop including the extension.
Part 2 - A Mucky Monkey

Part 2 of the Cannock trip in which I do the Damp Dog and the Mucky Monkey. It turns out that the drainage isn't as good on the Monkey as it is on the Dog, therefore I got even wetter. However the views were much much better! and some of the trails were too, with many of the features left intact.

Back at Cannock today, fancied an evening thrash round the dog and the Monkey on the E-Bike. Had to time it between Thunderstorms but either way the ground was waterlogged. This is Part 1 - The Dog, the Monkey will be Part 2.

I know it’s a year ago but have you tried from the other side . I’m going up the Conwy side . I’m gunna start the sychnant pass rd and parking up in a little car park and making my over to connect my route to the Roman rd and coming up along side drum to foel fras and mega peddle up on to carnedd Llewelyn . Great video, trying to decide where to go today and thought of this, but will probably go up from Llanfairfechan. Also, Glyder Fach was not the moutain you pointed out, think its actually Y Garn. Good effort though 😊

It always amazes me how you English people are barely capable of speaking your own language, let alone when cross the border and butcher mine! Your 'pronounciation' of Glyder Fach was something to behold. Apart from that, nice vid. Been up there a few times on my bike and ebike, although I came from the other side, Bethesda or Llanfairfechan.
I do apologise, I thought I'd looked at enough youtube pronunciations to get it right, but obviously not. Is the Bethesda or Llanfairfechan side a better descent?
@@ad-mtb7399 the Llanfairfechan side has a 3 mile descent from the top of Drum (pronounced Drim). Mostly jeep track but it gets pretty rocky in parts. Bethesda is more up and down. There is a massive loop you can do from Bethesda, up to Drosgil across to foel grach, then up to Drum, down to Aber falls then up to Moel Wynion then back down to Bethesda. That was hard work on an ebike.

When did you do this and what time. You have 7th May posted on Vid. Reason why I'm asking is because you are aware there's still a voluntary ban for MTB's on Snowden. The apparent absence of other mountain biker's in your vid, suggest you were riding on the mountain when you shouldn't have been. ???
Hello, Yes the video was posted on the 7th of May, however the ride was done before the ban was in place (30th April) which is reflected in the recording date in the detail. I chose to do it on a Friday as I thought it might be less busy, I was wrong.
Funny how mtbers have a ban for much of the year, or have to be off between 10:00 and 17:00 every day and every path yet walkers have completely free access at all times and all paths. Be nice if the walkers fkd off for one day of the week or left even one of the paths for bikes (Ranger would be ideal).

Hey Simon, yes I did do it on the Sentry, I'm actually planning to go do another mountain next to snowdon on the Monday, weather does indeed look awesome!
