Why dont you tell us how much it costs?

The problem is most Hawaiians dont participate in ekections. Self interested people count on them not voting, and get easy wins. The people are miserable and not represented because they refuse to participate. So they blame Haoles and tourists. If they want real change, they have to change. The damage is so bad that it wont change in a week, but its a start. Not voting has consequences. No matter how bad they dont want to be a part of the system, they are. They might as well participate. In 2016, the people spoke, and it shocked the establishment with a Trump win. Id love to see Hawaiians win and get real representation. The people that vote, and win, care more about the turtles and environment more than the plight of the people. Vote for true representation or quit complaining.

Farmers market in or around Honolulu is not cheap. It’s rather expensive! Don’t give false information, please.

Live with your parents, or in multigenerational households, or ten housemates per home or housing unit.

My family and I are moving back to oahu from Texas. Summer of 2025. We have 2 cars. Mines an 07 cadillac runs fine but has high milage and a rebuilt title. Currently worth tops $1,500. You think it's worth taking or no.

I tried saving money with food by going to various ABC Stores to see if their food had s discount sticker. I went to enough where yes I did find them. It's still expensive. 20% off a sausage and egg burrito was still $8 with tax. And it was okay sized but surely not huge. Peanut Butter, jelly, decaf green tea, coffee, and French Bread loaves were pretty much my diet.

Dont forget the scorpion centipedes. Theyre bite hurts for a longntime and they can be found anywhere. One was on my daughters foot. The only way to get rid of it is to flush it down thr toilet alive. If you try killing it, it releases hormones and the mate will come to find it. Ewwww gross. Lol. But we didnt have pests too often. I just hated that i couldnt run axross the ground outside barefoot at night. Thousanda of coackroaches ubderneath the soil come out at night. Shine thr flashlight and youll see but with all the negative comments you see dont let that stop you from going. I heard a ton of them before we went especially during covid but we had no choice had to go. It ended up beinf way bettet then expected and it was during the pandemic. We still enjoyed it. Its what you make of it and we go with the flow. I miss the morning sounds of the cars rolling over the metal barrier going thru the gate to the base. I didnt realize how asmr it was til i moved. And the sunshine shining bright in my room waking me up. It was so nice.

Driivng all around oahu is way less then 3hrs. I can do it in an hour when we lived there in 2021.

Gas prices in hawaii is the same if not less then california

Kayak is the worse to use. It over prices flights. Best prices for flights are directly from the airlines or skyscanner.

I'll be finish with school next year as an X ray tech. Is there hospitals and clinics in need for one? Plan on moving my family to one of the Islands once i graduate.

IF I may comment: Former Hawaii Resident (26 yrs). My advice? Do a TON OF research first and dont MOVE on a WHIM. Second, Unless you can afford to be comfortable there (can afford Air conditioning, a decent amount of square footage in an attractive neighborhood, not to mention the necessities, etc...) DO NOT Bother. If not, you will be MISERABLE and very disillusioned. But thats just me, and thats my two cents.

Don’t sell just anyone homes in Hawaii locals and natives don’t like outsiders moving there they bring there obnoxious attitude and other crap with them I’m tired of mainlanders moving to Hawaii for no reason

Research the Maintenance Fees as INSURANCE rates for condos are rising fast!

You can "save" a few dollars, but many STILL live paycheck to paycheck. I remedied the situation by MOVING to the mainland. Since then i have owned a total of 4 homes on all 3 coasts. Best decision ever. Talk about "SAVING" $$$. IMMIGRATION.
