We have a Rubicon Wrangler with a Hiker Trailer EOR and that is why we bought the trailer. Set up and then take off in the Jeep to explore and hike. It works great for us. Thanks for sharing. We are considering trading in the Wrangler for a Gladiator. Our EOR is loaded so we need more towing capacity. Your info is very helpful!

you could attach straps to the totes so you could just pull them out when you need them instead of having to crawl under the cover. another idea. in my work truck i cut a sheet of plywood to fit between the wheel wells and cut it back as far as i could reach, put a handle on it then it just slides out.

Next time, slide your wheel under the truck if you don’t have a jack stand handy.

Get the decked cargo glide system for your bed.

Diamondback makes a drawer insert for the cab end. And, yes, with a tent on the diamondback you cant open it. The nature of a "rooftop" tent. Not the covers fault. Sounds like you needed a different set up.

I’ve got the Decked Drawer system under my rack, and those totes are a much simpler and CHEAPER option that still protect your gear from the weather. Not to mention the dead weight of the Decked Drawer that’s always in there.

Those bins are a good starting out storage solution. I want to slowly start investing in Roam Adventure cases or Pelican cases which lock and seal out the elements. Nice new setup.

Watched this review... not sure.. think the purpose is to get a financial credit or some kind of refund from the manufacture. I have a Model 270. I am very pleased with my purchase. Superior quality, compared to the competition. My question to the reviewer, can he find a better unit . Sincerely doubt it His complaints are nothing short of nit picking. I would not give this whinner any time, looks like a weasel move, in my opinion.

After you've resolved the leveling issue, thus most of the leakage issue, then lose those yellow lids on your plastic bins for the best access. I'm getting my 2024 GMC Canyon soon followed by my own Diamondback cover and I believe I'll be fabricating my own storage bin (similar to the one they sell). Outside of that a number of your issues seem to stem from a simple lack of trouble shooting up front. Best of luck with your projects.

It's really bumpy Clark...really bumpy... Not sure what you are looking for, maybe a Forest Service Road. Cross Bar is one of the biggest and best parks that I have been to. I rate Hot Springs Offroad Park just a little better. There is 150+ miles of trails from easy to as crazy as you want. I go there about once a week and still find new trails each time I go. BTW, skip Hidden Falls too of you don't want "bumpy".

Did you add the shims under the bed rail covers? Thats helped substantially with the leaks for me.

I have noticed just a slight difference in the colours & patterns of the rear tail lights.Just comparing the difference in the Australian & US model.Just a quick suggestion mate,can U inform your air pressure's & gear selection on some tracks.That sort of Tab Data is always good to hear from other Jeep owners know matter where we are on this planet.Thanks,Steve from QLD Australia. You might consider giving hidden falls a chance. I dont know exactly how far it is from from you though. Ive been a few times driving from the austin area for a day. Every time ive gone to Barnwell its been for a 3-4 day weekend and we tent camped at one of the sites. Its close enough to town and Gilmer has just about everything you need, plus Longview is only 30 minutes away for bigger things like tools from home depot. Over all its a great spot for a weekend get away.

These covers are super hyped on UA-cam and other social media, and perhaps they work for those applications. I went with the switchback from DB for better access to the bed, and quicker removal. My truck is lifted and I'm not a tall dude, so the front access of the HD was a no go for the reasons you just described. My cover comes next week, and I'm already thinking I should have gotten a topper instead, but that comes with its own set of considerations. It looks like the seals on your cover were not compressed enough during install and that's why it dips in the middle. Good luck on your next cover!

My family sleeps two in the hiker and two up top on the RTT. All our gear goes in a Gazelle pop up gazebo at the campsite where we can stand up to change. I store gazelle on roof between awnings and RTT. Or it can go inside hiker during travel.

With my 5x9 Hiker Highway Deluxe and 23Zero 62 Walkabout, my family and I can go on roadtrips for several weeks. It’s absolutely awesome.

I could never use a bed cover like that. I use my bed to haul things, I had a Tiller in it last week. A couple weeks ago I had 30 bags of mulch in it. I have a Bakflip trifold. it is light weight, water tight, still secure, but easily flipped up to allow the entire bed to be used when needed. No tools required.

I see your point on how the front and rear lids taper towards the center. A perfect rain catch. Easy to see why it leaks. Good video very informative. Nice looking Gladiator.
