I remember years ago in my High School Japanese Language class, my teacher said that in Japanese culture Camellias are generally associated with death.. I remember being shocked because I think they are so cheerful and beautiful.
In the Edo period, the way the flowers fell was feared by samurai, as it resembled heads falling 💦. While it can be interpreted as ominous, the camellia is undeniably beautiful ☺️.

おぉ遂に常照皇寺にまで行きましたか！ 京都人でも行ったことがある人は少ないと思います。 訪れる人が少なく静かなのが良いですね。 春は参道の桜並木もキレイですよ。
常照皇寺は行くのは大変ですが、本当に癒される場所ですね☺️ あと一週間ほど遅く行けば紅葉も真っ赤になっていたかもです...タイミングが難しい😂 いつか必ず桜の時期にも訪れたいと思います😌🚗

@Rkyoto-hm5je oh and because of your video, I visited Genko An Temple with my husband just yesterday as we happened to be in Kyoto. The temple was such a beautiful and peaceful place, but have a rich history behind it. I'm grateful we found your video which made us want to visit. We are heading back home to Singapore tomorrow. Hi, thanks for sharing video. Do you recall seeing any cafe or restaurant in the temple? 😅 and whether taxi readily available in the vicinity? Infor to help my trip planning in late Autumn. Thanks.
Thank you as well! 😊 Usually, there isn't a café in the temple grounds, but during the special autumn viewing, there were stands offering coffee and rice cakes. ☕️🍁 If you're going from Nagaokakyo Station, you can catch a taxi, but during the autumn foliage season, the area is very crowded, and it might be difficult to get one.💦 Another option, though more expensive, is to grab a taxi at Kyoto Station and go directly to Komyo-ji Temple. Depending on traffic, you might be able to arrive in about 30 minutes if it's quick.☺️

@@Rainbow-nc2ys After December 8, the special admission period for the autumn leaves will unfortunately end 💦. However, I've heard that the autumn colors are a bit delayed this year, so they might still be at their best even after that date 🍁. During the regular period, there’s no admission fee, so if the leaves are still vibrant, you can enjoy them for free 😄. Let’s hope the autumn colors linger a little longer 🙏.

@@Rainbow-nc2ys I think there are a few dining spots in front of Komyo-ji Temple 😊. One recommended place is a café called Ogura Sanso, about a 10-minute walk straight from the temple gate 😊. Next to the café, there’s also a space where you can buy souvenirs 😊.

先日、4〜50年ぶりに行ってみました。遊龍の松は変わらず元気で雄大！ 当時と違い舗装されてて行きやすくなってました。
何百年も生きている松と聞くより、4〜50年変わらず元気と聞く方が歴史をより身近に感じられます☺️ 昔は本当に秘境のお寺という感じだったんでしょうね😂

Bonjour☺️ Merci de regarder nos vidéos si fidèlement🙏 "Ji" et "Dera" ont exactement la même signification, bien que la prononciation soit différente. "En" signifie un jardin, et "An" désigne une maison où vit une personne qui a quitté le monde pour se consacrer à la spiritualité. Quant à la règle pour utiliser "Ji" ou "Dera", je ne suis pas sûr de la comprendre non plus💦 Même pour les Japonais, la langue japonaise peut être compliquée😂

いやー、金蔵寺に行きましたか！ アクセスの大変さは善峯寺の比じゃないでしょ 私も年に2回ほど行くのですが、行く時はいつも離合不可の所で対向車と出会わないことを祈って運転しています。 距離は近いけど秘境ですね。 静かでいいです。 雪の下の花も懐かしい。50年ぶりです。いいですね。
車で行きましたが何度も途中で引き換えそうか迷いました😭 着いたら着いたで寒いし、雨と風で傘は壊れるわ山奥で一人で獣が出たらどうしようとか.. 多分もう行くことはないかもしれません☺️笑 あそこに年2で行くなんて..恐ろしい😂

この庭を見ながら狂言師の茂山さんの講話を聞くという会にいった記憶があります。青蓮院と言えば門前の大きな楠が有名でその姿は落ち着いた気持ちにさせてくれますね。
私が行った場所のほとんどを行かれてますね😂 この日は開門前に到着したので、その楠前で癒されながら待ってました☺️

天然記念物というからオオサンショウウオかと思いましたが考えてみればお寺に生息しているはずないですよね。 静かでいいですね。 次にアップされるのは苔寺か鈴虫寺かそれとも松尾大社かな？

社寺仏閣以外のスポットもちょこちょこ挟んでいいですね。 私が子供の頃は五条パイバスは未開通で東山を越える国道1号線はこちらだったので蹴上の浄水場やインクラインを目にする機会も多かったです。
琵琶湖疏水やインクラインも京都の重要歴史スポットなので、いつか動画をあげようかと思ってたんです☺️ 子供の頃からインクラインをたくさん見るなんて贅沢子供ですよ😂
