Nathalie Wood should not be on this list. No one hated her. She was very much loved and admired for her talent.
Damn!!! I stopped smoking weed about a year ago and feel a lot more healthier, however my friend and I drank 2 quarts of Gentlemen Jack and 4 small kegs of Heineken over 8 days this past Christmas week! That is not normal for me I rarely drink one or two beers a week but after receiving news of another great friend committing suicide I had two drown my sorrows somehow and that helped however my body did let me know hey knock it off!
Strange that neither Stephen Spielberg nor Tom Hanks were mentioned as Super Jerks....if not Super Rats.... Just sayin🤷♀️
19:20 A documentary on riding bikes without a helmet. No thank you ! I am a twice traumatic brain injury victim ,Memorial day 2015, and March 15,2017 and was wearing a helmet in both instances ! David S.
Ann Margaret is 83 and still very much alive just so you know you live as old or as young as you. think and feel also genetics
I'm a classic movie lover and more of the narrative is repetitive. The narrator says the same things verbatim after each example. There are plenty of errors in the pictures. I mean pronounced Bette Davis as "Bet" is wrong, she is "Betty" Jeff Bridges photo from True Grit as John Wayne. This entire thing is pretty much crap. I'm sorry I wasted my time watching this.
This is nothing new and there are probably even more not even mentioned here. Alcoholism, a major addiction along with nicotene addiction i.e. smoking have been rampant in Hollywood ever since the 1920s and the Golden Age of Hollywood! I was born in 1948 during that iconic era, even their kids grew up to be addicts along with drug addiction like the late Edward G. Robinson's son who became an actor but died of cirrohsis of the liver. The late Kirk Douglas's son Eric was also an alcoholic/drug addict and died from that, same with French /American actor Louis Jourdan whose only child and son Henri died at age 29 from drugs! The list goes on and on and on right up to today, i.e. alcoholics Brad Pitt, Ben Affleck, etc. It's been mostly the male actors though there have been some female ones like the late Veronica Lake, Tallulah Bankhead etc. etc. Both the late Marlene Deitrich and Paulette Goodard became alcoholics late in life. Audrey Hepburn and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis were 'nicotene addicts" which contributed to their cancers, born the same year and had more in common than most people realize. Actor/producer/director Michael Landon was a big smoker and an admitted alcoholic and died from cancer of the pancreas! Same with the late Lee Remick. The late Yul Brynner, Ingrid Bergman, Rosalind Russell and Bette Davis all died from cancers from nictotene addiction/smoking! A great many of them died from smoking and both smoking i.e. nicotene addiction and drinking alcohol are a carcinogenic, causes cancers, but singularly and together, along with heart disease! The late Errol Flynn was also a drug addict and died at age 50 like Michael Jackson and Prince! The human body can only take so much abuse! The late great Gregory Peck was said to be an alcoholic but I never saw him drunk in any of her great films or in photos of his private life, maybe he was a 'high functioning alcoholic"? Could also be a typical Hollywood rumor, he didn't have a known reputation as a 'drunk' like the late Oliver Reed, Peter O'Toole, Richard Burton, Richard Harris etc. Many from the UK and Ireland were alcoholics as well and Gerard Depardieu , one of France's great film actors is also an alcoholic. The late Jack Lemmon and Dick Van Dyke were alcoholics, but recovered! If you read the Hollywood Death books they list all the causes of deaths from many of the stars of Hollywood including the directors, screenwriters etc. May they all rest in peace~
Wow. Not ONE Black jerk. What a bunch of BS. Everyone in Hollywood is a jerk.
I keep forgetting that these people are just actors, yes they have a talent , but hardly brain surgeons- why do we venerate them, me included 😳
Got sick of drunks!! After an ACOA childhood very frustrating to seek recovery and finding that a bunch of AAs had set up the programs to accommodate themselves while I, a nondrinker, had to listen to their drivel. I think also I took a heavy hit in the dating scene, since so much social life revolves around alcohol. They can take their booze and🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
Too bad the narrator didn't have clue on correct pronunciation of several names!
Fascinating show. I can identify with every one of them.
Ironic that the first clip is Steven Sayer and Chandrae Roettig
Robin Williams daily cocaine habit for years, years
Funny that even though it was no secret that Humphrey Bogart drank too much, it was the cigarettes and esophageal cancer that did him in. (I'm sure the alcohol didn't help, though)
cheap trash. the voiceover is so annoying that I couldn't make it 2 minutes.
Wonderful recounting of celebrities who had a fondness for the grape. Considering the pressures of the film and television industry, I would anticipate there are many more in the industry with similar problems who have flown below the radar. These stories may have had the unintended consequence of bringing some solace to others outside of notoriety without fame and but with equally difficult pressures who have turned to the grape for self-medication.
21:49
Same eyebrows as Matt Gaetz!
Amazing how they coddled these drunks.
What's this bollocks about WC Fields being a silent film actor? 90% of his films were talkies! My favourite Fields film clip was when he walks into a bar and asks the bar tender if he had spent a $20 bill there the night before. The barman said yes, you did. Fields then let out a sigh of relief and said, oh, thank goodness for that, I thought I'd lost it.
*love all actors*
just about every actor who was mentioned that was an alcoholic I never cared for. I must’ve had some kind of instinct. I personally don’t drink smoke or take drugs or medication. I’m all about a healthy lifestyle.
Umm...Sterling Hayden.
I don’t think they were drinking heavily all the time. Most days/nights were probably just 5-10 drinks. Especially for Bogart and Sinatra.
"He / she was difficult to work with". Welcome to the human race.
Billy Joel a Hollywood star? Oliver Reed and Anthony Hopkins absent from the list? WTF???
I didn't know Daniel Craig had problems with alcohol, but l had a pretty good idea about most of the rest.
SAD
Go figure, men used to be Men.
Daniel Craig looks like a 70 years old man.
24 hours in a day and 24 beers in a case.
Turning up drunk to the wrong funeral 😂 LMFAO
17:40 Wait...Wait! What?? Arnold Schwarzenegger and Kirk Douglas?? Which universe ....?¿ What the...
Shared a cottage by the sea… “how you doin’?”
I couldn't stand Spencer Tracy's acting. I never believed a second of his acting.
OH! MY GOSH!! Good editing???
disjointed out of sync , pictures dont match the commentary.
Flynn injected vodka into oranges to hide his drinking from the directors, not because it was healthy.
First advert Vodka 😂
The classic Peter O'Toole story is that he took a drinking pal from a bar over to a nearby theater to see a play that he thought was really good. At one point, he leaned over to his pal and said, "You'll like this next bit. This is where I come on." My Favorite Year - a solid O'Toole flick. On the Dick Cavett show, Dick Van Dyke talked about getting drunk virtually every night of his life since he was a boy, but said he never drank until his work day was over.
Errol Flynn was extremely handsome--even by today's standards.
W.C. Fields made 29 sound pictures.
No mention of Oliver Reed or Anthony Hopkins???
Not 25 beers a day. They'd be fat as hell. Hard liquor, yes. And, who gives a shit. They lived better than most of us.
If you could look as wonderful and gorgeous as these drinking stars, what would you do? I should drink. Lovely skin, wonderful makeup; living the life of my dreams. Listening to one of the old tunes, from The Dubliners. Drunk, drunk, drunk again. Check it on the UA-cam. Fuck you alkoholics, you do not know how many lives you are destroying, across the generations. I do not mean fuck, I mean take care of yourselves.
What about drug attics that was covered up
Gregory Peck wasn't even on this video!!
I don't doubt what you say here, but it does sound unbelievable. (btw, Peter O'toole played an amazing version of himself in "My Favorite Year")
So they who don't drink will die healthy
