Scared of the Dentist
Hey there! In this video, I discuss how dental anxiety can affect you and how you can overcome it with comfort care sedation dentistry. I provide information on how this type of sedation works, its benefits, and how it can help you feel more comfortable during dental procedures. If you're interested in learning more or finding out if you're a good candidate for sedation, feel free to reach out for a consultation. Remember, you don't have to live with dental fear anymore!
SOP: Sedation Dentistry for Dental Anxiety
Objective
The objective of this SOP is to guide patients who are scared of dental work or suffer from dental anxiety through the process of sedation dentistry to make their dental experience more comfortable and stress-free.
Key Steps
1. Consultation Request:
- Patients interested in sedation dentistry should call or visit the website to request a consultation.
- During the consultation, the patient's fears and concerns about dental treatment will be discussed to determine if they are a good candidate for sedation.
2. Preparation for Sedation:
- Arrive a few minutes early for the appointment.
- Ensure you have eaten before the sedation to prevent nausea.
- Discuss any concerns or questions with the dental team before the sedation process begins.
3. Sedation Process:
- Medication will be administered in the office to induce sedation.
- Vital signs will be monitored throughout the procedure to ensure safety.
- Patients may experience dizziness, but this can be managed by adjusting medication levels.
4. Post-Sedation Care:
- Patients will likely forget 50 to 100 percent of the procedure afterward.
- Minimal side effects are expected, with nausea being the most common issue (though vomiting is rare).
- Patients can expect to feel more at ease about future dental visits due to the forgetfulness induced by the sedation.
Cautionary Notes
- Patients should disclose any medical conditions or medications they are taking before undergoing sedation.
- Eating before the sedation is crucial to prevent nausea.
- Patients should follow all pre-sedation instructions provided by the dental team.

HEhH 3. 2. 1. Whoa
If I'm taking care of my teeth, brushing and flossing twice a day, using a Sonicare brush, avoiding sweets, I shouldn't be having big tooth issues unless I'm on meth. I think some dentists like to over-prescribe crowns. Why? Well, crowns are big money-makers. Even if you have insurance, insurance will pay for, at most, half the crown. You still are on the hook for hundreds or thousands of dollars. Worse, down the line, crowns get old. Bacteria can form around them. They can fall out. Crowns create maintenance issues of their own. They affect the structure of your entire mouth. I don't think they should be prescribed willy-nilly.
WoAh!😮
Are government needs to change something. Giving people these old technology dentures is just sad then changing 30k for anything else when most people are living paycheck to paycheck.. I see it with my 35 year old brother who's depressed and hates himself because these things.
Health industry is a fraud

I've never heard of overlays. I've had maybe a couple of root canals and quit a few fillings. Recently, one of my front teeth have kinda broken in half. It's loose from the middle down, but doesn't seem to be loose at the gums. I've went to a couple dentists and an implant place and they all keep telling me that I would have to get it pulled and either get an implant, bridge, or dentures. I was hoping that it could have been saved somehow.
Look into a Biomimetic Dentist, she deserves better than big bulky aggressive crowns.
whoh
Lil bro thought it was gonna feel good💀

Does this sound like I have been seeing bad dentists? In two years time I had three molars extracted. Each time I had considerable pain and discomfort for 3-4 days. These extractions were done at the same clinic.Recently a different dentist extracted my lower right wisdom tooth.I expected much pain and discomfort. It only was painful briefly as the novacaine wore off then left me in no pain whatsoever.
Dad: 3,2,1, Kid:hehehehe Kidwoah
