FOR THOSE PEOPLE WORRYING ABOUT THE LAG, READ THIS! The problem is the game itself and not the graphics card. Always cap the fps to 60fps or else it will overwork your graphics card way too much. You can do it in the nvidia control panel or amd control panel. Besides, if you only have a 60hz monitor then 60fps and above will just be a waste. Sims 3 is not properly optimized to the highest extent. I have seen in the sims 3 that fps over 60fps can/will also affect loading times much slower. Also the higher the fps (above 60fps) the more stuttering and lag will be produced. The game is not programmed to understand that higher fps should mean smoother game experience. My theory is that all objects in the game needs reloading everynow and then because of its 32bit nature and poor memory optimization. So if you did not cap the fps to 60fps, the game engine will prioritize to produce more fps than to load objects. And we all know that loading objects will sometimes freeze or lag the sims 3 and that I think is the reason of stuttering/lag issues. Thus, I really recommend for you to cap the game to 60fps especially to modern cards nowadays. It will be beneficial for your graphics card and to your gaming experience too.
