This place was crazy busy back in the early 1990s , It had very nice anchor stores like LS Ayers & Co. W.M Blocks Department store, Sears and JC Penny. It looks pretty much unchanged inside just ran down how sad.

This mall is super dead unless it's Christmas time

Please contact me if you have any information on these and if the owner would be interested in geting rid of them.

I used to work here, right past the gate entrance at the beginning is a small building that is the historical society who do free tours periodically

I remember when Texas Roadhouse opened, and it is still one of the best places to get steak in town.

Had the same kind of situation in Welland Ontario Canada. There was a Family owned Video store called Blockbuster, and the owners patented the name as they opened many years before BB existed. Same situation they BB Franchise came in and sued the heck out of him, but he stood strong, and like BK they won and no BB could come into the City or surrounding area. We loved it, and he lasted a bit longer then all the other BB's in the area

You'd think McDonald's corporate would put some effort to preserve some of these old restaurants. Also, missed opportunity to have a creepy Ronald McDonald lurking in the background, but I enjoyed the video.

Kohl's was the last anchor at this mall. The former Steve and Barry's still had its sign up after the closure in 2009. Steve and Barry's was originally Elder-Beerman when the mall opened. Elder-Beerman closed in 2003 when the chain wanted to focus on smaller markets. On one of the entrances, there is on the floor an "EB" left over from Elder-Beerman.

I don’t know how this is still standing. It needs to be demolished. Sadly there is no saving this place.

That's a McDonald's with decor from the 1970s which makes me wonder when it was closed. There were a few still in business McDonald's near me that didn't get an update from the 1980s until around 2000 so it's difficult to tell the last day of business from the interior alone.

Have you checked out Traders World flea market in Monroe? Has a great wig shop and good food court.
