A large indoor waterpark, resort and hotel that was a enjoyed center of entertainment in central Ohio. Fort Rapids had an unfortunate short life only being opened for 10 years. Between 2006 and 2016. The main reasons for it's closure were from serious hygienic neglect in any way you could imagine, trash cleanup neglect, bug infestation, improper food handling. Also from my personal research, the management was extra creepy in the way they handled assessment evaluation of life guard staff. Stalking and filming them while they were on duty. Such as wrapping a towel around a camera at one of the tables to hide the camera while they filmed a life guard. Despite all that, the waterpark looked like a beloved place everyone would of really enjoyed. Just wandering around the waterpark and even the area in-between the hotel and park I had a great time. The wild west theme and the imagination that went into it was just great! It's unfortunate that the place was neglected, as I know this place would still be open and hooping.
An Indoor waterpark has always been on my bucket list since starting urban exploring and I find it amazing that the first abandoned video I've done on UA-cam was an abandoned water park. 2024 might be the last year I do urbex as my main thing for UA-cam, so I'm happy to leave such an amazing few years on such a high note. There are still 30 such videos to come and a few that were also on the "bucket list". Chernobyl was always one, but I don't think that one's going to happened anytime unfortunately. Thank you all for watching! Have no idea what 2025 is going to be like, but I'm not stopping urbex completely. Of course not.
