Still in my first playthrough of this game, spent hours power leveling Henry outside of Rattay to the point all my stats are max. Started this quest and impressed captain Bernard and utterly defeated Hans. Feels good lol.

Hey me too started a couple of weeks back.. got the bloodhound s fang and with it i defeated margit the fell omen as well as godrick the grafted.. for rune farming i found a real good place for early game like you are.. Go to this region called CAELID.. its kind of located south east bottom of limgrave and the map is brown in colour... Reach the corner of the map and there s fast travel point called IMPASSABLE RIDGE.. reach there and there is a great rune farming area.. You can get 5000 runes per run... i ll post the youtube link for it too!.
