@southendsurfer They are just forest roads. There are some routes South West of Baldwin that we have been on with our SxS. North of Baldwin there are more. We use vvmapping with a Garmin Montana 700 to find the places that we ride.

@@ouratvadventures Wow interesting. So you are legally allowed to ride the forest roads? Do you need to register your vehicle a special way?

Do need to keep your eyes open for the stumps. But even then, there was a few that were hidden. Still had a blast.

No part 7, we jumped off the trail and headed to a gas station. Didn’t know how much longer we would have been on the trail before finding fuel. We had rode over from some cabins to get to the trail and took us a little longer than expected

We can no longer ride 50” trails. We traded in our quads for a SxS last year. We have two dogs that we are taking with us most of the time. Our dog sitter (our youngest) has gotten busy with his hobbies in the summer.

We have since moved to a SxS. We don't currently have anything that we can ride that trail anymore.

Thank you. We use Garmin 700 with VV Mapping. So far, that combination is what we like the best.

It lasted a few hours, but we run with the backlight on almost all the way up. Now we run with it plugged in most of the time.

We have had a great time there. The times we have been. We missed the last weekend. Keep an eye on their facebook page to see when they will be open again. They are only open a few times durning the winter months.

They do have a lot of nice trails.

@@ouratvadventures back in 2019 when I had a RZR 900 me, my dad, and his 3 buddies did a group trail ride and those mudholes in some areas will swallow the entire RZR, one of my dad's buds had a Gator and the mudhole pretty much submerged him up to his head so all you see was his head and roof rack

Wow Will say that one mud hole I got stuck in was not there a few months before. Wife was talking to someone else later and they said that it was dug too deep. I was just glad my winch worked and we were able to get out. Also had a change of clothes back at the truck.

Do they prevent sore thumbs?

They do help a lot with the fatigue.

We agree with you. Our communication system is normally recoding. There was a lot of feedback, so the recorded sound was horrible.

That was a group ride that we started with, there are some places that they were going to stop at. We just don’t ride as fast as they did so we did not make it to all the places. Most of Lake county is ORV friendly, so you can ride to most gas stations and restaurants. Both of our quads are Grizzly’s. We ate at Club 37. It’s also where the group ride started from. We would get gas from Wolf Lake Store. If your riding something under 50” try Little O www2.dnr.state.mi.us/publications/pdfs/forestslandwater/ORV/Maps-Trail/little_o_trail.pdf Ride Safe.

Little O is a 50” trail. Our quads are 48” and there were a few spots that were very tight for us. Unfortunately, I don’t remember what that sign says. lakecotrails.com/little-o/ Not sure if this link will help you.
