Follow the ongoing details of this Nissan Skyline R33 GTR LM Limited. This car is LM Limited number 161 or 188.
It is highly modified and has made 505kw (677hp) at the wheels. The car was built by Galvsport in Perth, and is now upgraded and maintained by Racepace Motorsport in Melbourne.
These LM Limited models were manufactured as a celebration of Nissan's participation in the 24 hour of Le Mans. The cars came with few cosmetic changes over the standard cars and were produced in very small numbers that were unknown for a long time. Only recently through some excellent work by the developer of the website gtr-registry.com that the true number of cars is now known.

SAU Motorkhana - R33 GTR LM Limited - Morning Runs
My first Motorkhana with the SAU team (you can probably tell).
Took the R33 GTR out for some fun laps around some cones.
First run was slow and technical but reasonably easy to remember the layout. The second runs suited my car with a nice long set of straights.
This was run 45 minutes outside of Melbourne near the Avalon airport. It was an awesome day out and

A friend and I raced our cars down the Heathcote drag strip. It was super fun and a good time, perks of working a racetrack! My friends 350Z has an exhaust and wheels (more coming soon). My car has a few bits and pieces and is mostly modified.

Cool💪🤝👍🔥💯
Beautiful gtr
Thank you! It certainly needs a good wash after the track!
You really need to get rid of those standard plates man. They ruin the whole car
For sure man. They suck. I take them off on the track. But they’re too big for my liking. Slimline ones will be coming sometime in the future.
that alignment...
That “rail” is called a pinch weld.
This guide is amazing thank you alot for this video, it really helps.
damn whata flex lol nice picks brother
Friends don't let friends drive stock.
Thanks man, will have a look at a R33 soon in the south of France, will be very useful !
@invaders757 no problem. I’m glad you like it! 👍
So leaving the key inside the locks itself? Or did I hear wrong?
No you heard right. I had my blue one programmed that way (aftermarket alarm). I’ve since had it un-done so it doesn’t lock itself after 5 minutes.
I want to thank you for this video i bought a 94 r33 sedan skyline with 9k original miles on it with original 5 speed manual and this video helped a lot one day ill get the GTR but for now ill enjoy the one i have now
No problemo. Glad I could assist! 👍
Australia 🇦🇺? New Zealand ???
Australia. Melbourne to be precise. 👍

It's a stock GTR, it's enough to like this video!
Lucky man. Hope you still have it.
Sitting on some $$$ there big boy
What size are wheels and tires on LM? Looks dope
They’re 18” x 10.5 and the tires are 265s.
@@lmlimitedsteve6555 thanks for fast reply <3
Super nice rides!
I bought a r33 gts back in November 2020 and it was no where near as good condition as he said and showed :/ there was rust in the boot, ac removed, spoiler removed which caused water too enter the boot and a heap of damage like the boot has been hit up and damage to the side skirts, the car runs and drives great and I think the engine was taken care of because haven’t had any problems with it yet but the body isn’t best condition,
got video of your gtr?
excellent video. hope to see more from you
It’s got an aftermarket dash in it mate? Do not believe the km if they have a 320km/h dash!! They’re all after market
Mine don’t, but that’s what I meant, the cluster swaps are the most common change to these cars.
Yes very common, about 3/4 of the cars for sale have nismo clusters in now, and the average car suddenly went from advertising 120k km to 30k km 🙈 so annoying when you’ve got a higher km 33gtr vspec and all the other cars with similar use are advertising 30-50k on the clock 🤷🏽♂️
What transmission do you have in r33?
It’s a rebuilt 5speed box with OS Geiken gears, shortened gearset, billet sandwich plate. If it breaks it’ll get changed for something stronger. There’s a lot more out there these days that suits these cars.
@@lmlimitedsteve6555 Thanks

should bring them to my car meet :o im in melb too hehe
Any time man. Hit me up on socials and I’ll fit it into my schedule! (Hopefully).

Excellent advice for anyone shopping for a R33 GTR owners or sellers. Great for determining value and negotiating a fair price. I have a R33 with 40k and glad it is in remarkable condition from the tips you have shown in the video. Thank you for the content!
In championship blue too 😍😍 prefer deep marine blue myself but an amazing colour none the less 👌🏻
Wow thank you for this! I’m looking for R33 myself.
If you still have this LM then you hit the jackpot my friend. If you want $150,000 USD then place all the aftermarket parts back to OEM, if not then keep it and enjoy the hell out of it. You got this dirt cheap with todays prices. Cheers.
This is the dream trim. I will own one of these one day 💎💙🥶
Just bought an r33 and the company I got it from rebuilt the engine for me and replaced everything bad on the car. This was very informative though thank you.
You’re welcome. I’m glad to know you found it helpful. 👍
whats differences in gtr to v spec and does the r33 has a v spec 2 version?
Vspecs had different tires, suspension stiffness and an active rear differential. These days all those items are likely to have been replaced. The diff in particular is quite troublesome if it breaks down or begins to fail.
Old jasma kakimoto exhaust?
Yeah. It was absolutely destroyed so not a big loss to change it over.
my dream car is an R33 and it's so good to know what to look at in these awesome machines. when I get one, I will be looking at these for sure. thanks for the video man, you gave a lot of information without wasting time. that deserves a like from me:)
Glad to hear you love them as much as I do. And you’re very welcome glad to know you think it’s been helpful.
How much did you pay for each one to have them imported?
Both were here in Australia. So I didn’t have to pay for import fees. I only had to pay inspection and transport fees. The blue one was around 2k in total to move and the silver one was 2.5k to have inspected and transported
I want your LM so much lol.
Thank you !!
+Adam Ahmad Farid Glad to have been some help for you!
What do you do for living man, your family own 2 skyline and on top 3 engine swaps🤯 lool.
God damn brazen thieves. I remember reading (who knows if my memory has probably failed me or not) maybe sometime 10 years ago on a forum about how someone's Midnight purple GTR R34 was taken in broad daylight in a shopping centre car park. Picked up and towed away, stripped and gutted, then torched the rest of the car and dumped it. This would probably be one of my worst nightmares owning a car like this. The people trying to steal, people sitting on it with their metalled jean buttons and scratching it after posing with it, random idiots keying it because they're envious or jealous. Hopefully you haven't had to deal with too much since you've owned it for a bit now.
Wish I haf your car brother
This is literally THE BEST R33 video..... Them tips were really helpful... Keep it up bro 💯
Wow, 5K on the clock is like driving it to the shops and back within 5 months. Hardly anything! Amazing!
NICE SKYLINE!
+まるちゃんねーる thank you. I love them both. But the blue is my favourite! 😍
Great video, just PM’d on the Gram! 🍻
I live in Japan and about to go get an auction car, otherwise I have to spend 25% higher to get a reputable shop car. Would love to talk sometime especially when I get my R33.
+Arigato Matto super keen to chat to anyone with a 33 (or any car stuff really). Good luck with your purchase!
wow
Thanks brother for this vid . Big help I bought a r32 r33 n r34 I'm addicted to them n keep an mostly stock . Great vid
+Jeff Young you are very welcome! Congrats on purchasing a set too! I think that’s the dream for most of us.
@@lmlimitedsteve6555 next I want a mit. Evo 😁😁😁
Reproduction strut tower sheet metal is available and the repair can be done with engine in place in some instances. So not the end of the world. Funny how the LM cops abuse. Yet that's a special car! 😄 Your silver car looks lovely but I'd hesitate to say it only has 10,000kms. I think it may have a little more, although looks to be very good shape and low mileage. But my 260rs Stagea RB26 paint looks better and it has 100,000+ kms on it. I think the other thing to look for on these cars is bottom end knock. Saw a mint Stagea 260rs, but engine was knocking badly. So didn't go for it. These cars were quite cheap at 1 point, so we're not always looked after properly. I see a lot of junk selling for $50k+ now. Same with R32s. Series 3 R33s are the best though! Just look great with the red seats and xenons etc.. The jacking points are a pain because the chassis rails are very soft. There is a couple of reinforced areas in the lower dog leg areas to use, but it's not obvious to average mechanic or tyre shop (those guys are the worst).. so like you say very common area for faults. The R33s get a lot of flak for being overweight and boat like, but R34s are over priced and R32s also IMHO. So R33s are the bargain and I kind of prefer their styling over the R32s. So there is always that.
+gav240z wow! What a reply. Thanks for your info. Where do you purchase the reproduction strut tower metal? Is it a Nissan product? I’ll have to look it up. And the silver car does have some issues with its paint. It spent almost ten years under a car cover and has damage where the cover rubbed on it. 😓 I have lots of documentation on it though and it’s entire history so fingers crossed it’s legit. If you want to read the whole back story search for “The Stock GTR” on SAU. You’ll find heaps there! 😀
@@lmlimitedsteve6555 there is a couple of people offering reproduction sheet metal for the towers. I found a good UA-cam video on it a while ago. You're correct though that there is a couple of sheet metal pieces that make up the strut tower and moisture gets trapped between and they rot from inside out. I believe the sheet metal is in the parts manual too. But maybe Nissan stopped pressing them out by now? Although R34s are the same pressing as is Stageas (4WD versions) so there would still be demand. I guess with your silver car if it was kept outdoors or not stored away it can make the car look higher mileage than it is. Being 25 years old now it's hard to keep a car in pristine condition even if mileage is low. Low mileage is good to find, but lack of use can bring it's own issues. I didn't use my FD Rx7 enough and I think that's why the coolant seal went in it. That or just age. So I try and drive my cars as often as possible as seals, bushings can dry rot otherwise.

ua-cam.com/video/OpUfIL3LAh0/v-deo.html I looked into it after seeing this video on the 400r and thinking I would have still bought it, but it needed serious repairs.
The rail you are referring too under the car is called the Pinch Weld.Great video, hope too see more.
+ATL RIOT thanks. I appreciate you taking the time to let me know. I probably should have done some more research before I made this, but time was short... 👍
Its definately lower KMs than the one you are referring to. That 5k kms is absolutely bs its definately been wound back. Wouldn't need 5k+ to get it on the road again if it was legitimate
+Peter C yeah I have doubts about it too. But I would need to see it myself to know better. Our silver one just needs some minor paint touch ups to be perfect again.
@@lmlimitedsteve6555 I was living in Japan when these came out, everyone hated them so it should be surprising to find a few with some pretty low miles
There are only 189 of those cars! How much did it cost?
+K1 it was 56k Aud 3 years ago. It was one of the most expensive at the time. They are going up in value, so I don’t mind. 😀
LMLimited Steve That’s about 40,000 USD! Here you can get a r32 GTR for 20k-30k.
@@JimmyDean59 Yes, when i bought the car it was one of the most expensive R33s around. Most people understood why I did it, but a few thought i was mad. Car is worth maybe double that now, so i'm not too worried! :)
