Is the AI better in this game than Rome: Total War since it's pretty common for me in that game to end up in wars with all of my neighbors fairly quickly? In my current Brutii run on VH/H I'm currently at war with nine other factions if you don't include the rebels and I'm around 40 or so turns into the game. Though, I suppose one of those factions isn't that threatening considering I had become so popular with the people that I decided to trigger the civil war while at war with Carthage (1 Settlement), Numidia (4 Settlements), Thrace (2 Settlements), Pontus (4 Settlements), and the Egyptians (10 Settlements).

Advice number 1, FUCK! Your fam needs more kids I cant tell you how many times I lost a game because my fam died off.

tip 9) unless you're having public order issues and need a general inside or have the setting turned on where you need a general to manually control a city, build the Inn/Brothel. generals are too valuable to keep inside cities. Tip 8) agents have a hidden 200 florins per turn upkeep cost. build what you need and no more. How I play the game agents aren't worth the time or trouble anyway. 7) good tip. 6) keep it on high unless there are no more upgrades for that settlement and needs more population to upgrade. I usually keep taxes high and prioritize growth over all other buildings unless other buildings are needed i.e.. religious buildings, public order issues. 5) Good tip, don't pay fee for it tho, not in early game at least. the money you make will not be worth it in the early game and that money can be better spent elsewhere. try and squeez whatever money you can get from anyone and trade whatever they want. The early cash snowballs fast so get what you can as early as you can and use it. 4) Yes, prioritize the buildings that the settlement/Castles need. 3) yes, heavy knights/cav are king in medieval 2 but expensive, get cheap spears for the line, hammer with cav. 2) good tip, see 3. 1) befriend the pope early and give gifts to increase favor. you can ignore the first warning of excommunication the pope threatens you with if you have very good or higher favor. Ally if you can, other catholic nations can and will still declare war on you but it's much more severe for them. Other nations will not like them, they'll get excommunicated, favor with pope will not be harmed if you are fighting a catholic faction if they are excommunicated. My Tip is try to never have spare cash, the moment you hit end turn you can never make that time up. only in very specific scenarios should you be on a big wad of cash. build buildings, train units, get that agent you've been waiting on for when you had the spare cash. there are more than one way to make money and going to 0 dollars doesn't matter. Not sure on what to build so just sitting on cash and hitting next turn is one of the worst things you can do.

Ballista/ Catapult buildings prevent your general from getting the ignorant trait and he could get combat bonuses. Build them if a general is going to sit.

Don't give your traderights away. Barter for them, you really need money at the start of the game.

I’m about 10 hours into my ds3 journey. Started with ER and have beat it a couple times with restrictions and just beat the DLC. Moved to sekiro, and now here. Trying my best to go it blind, but confused on a couple things so trying to learn a tad. Any spoiler free tips for someone who is new to this game but not FS games? Currently running dex build with uchigatana, but it doesn’t feel as good as ER katanas.

One trade tip that is almost game breaking it's so overpowered is monopolizing slaves from africa. I didn't do this at first because slave trading is such a disgusting thing in real life. But this is just a game. At the southwestern limits of the map deep in the desert a group of slave icons appear. If you send a bunch of merchants there, preferably experienced, you can double or triple your trade $ totals in just a few turns. 💰💰

Thank you! I just started playing and the biggest tip I discovered is level up vigor first until like 20-25. You get like 25-30 hp points per level where as strength, Dex, stamina etc only give you 1-2 points. Upgrading weapons at the blacksmith will boost attack much more than putting points into strength so it makes more sense to me to only level up vigor when youre at the beginning and at your weakest point, then go into your class strengths.

I wouldnt say Lord grey was a useless jackass, he was just OLD and tired. Poor guy, shoulda had him retire and given you his estate.

Humanity meter didnt matter in ds1 it basically meant your always hollow if you die a lot then if want special weapon drops from black knights you avoid killing them early on and when OP comeback and chug 10 humanity and use loot drop equipment and hunt down all the black knights for their OP weapons. Also DS1 is more forgiving in levels since it has many OP areas to grind levels depending on where you are ingame and even one for grinding humanity and souls at same time. DS3 is monumentally more difficult than DS1 before new game+ heavy armor high poise is basically near invincibility while wearing. Also DS1 in a lot of areas have more bonfires. Only one lacks bonfires and thats Anor Londo but thats because most enemies between bonfires there are optional and have poopy loot drops.

On #5 the trade rights, if you want to keep an alliance do not do this across the board, if you get trade rights with a faction that you have no port close enough or roads to trade with that faction it will ruin your rep with them!

Yeah, love this game and played mostly vanilla. Beloved Empire and Shogun 2 felt too complicated for me, this one is just pure fun.

The game sucks ass and I played all TW titles since the first Shogun title. Medieval-2 is so bad and boring after a really short time I just chose the auto attack action to get it done - the whole castle/town choice is shit bad economy crippling you to build anything bad unresponsive units bad formations units in towns archer units do shit damage, barely worth keeping them merchant mechanic is shit the AI crusade is shit AI asking to stop attacking Catholic faction when they attacked you diplomacy is shit, everybody hates you anyway You can't look into princess stats when presented so you just agree whatever rebels units and ships everywhere just to bother you and the list goes on and on... Only one decent thing about this game are the graphics. Rome total war remastered is better by far.

Yeah you know I would charge the enemy but 90% of the unit decides to stop and have a smoke ten feet away and I would flee from the enemy's charging cavalry, but I have to give my light horse an hour or two to decide to turn around.
