Thanks for the comment!! I have noticed that too. It hasn't gotten to the point i feel its been unsafe but it has been a little harder to cam it over and keep it tight and I never did have that problem with the factory strap.

@iowadeerslayers3599 I had mine slip with a cam cleat and the platform fell out of the tree. The only safe way that I could see to do it is with a daisy chain and then I couldn't get it tight enough but at least it wouldn't fall

They have made things so efficient!!

I have the same setup and love it. 18 inch aider on the bottom two sticks and rarely use all four. Amsteel USA pro attachment. Spray foam in the tube's, stealth stips and all the goodies. I stack them rather than clipping them together. It's my go to setup. Good vid.

@@five9eight Thanks I appreciate it. I didn't think to fill the tube with spray foam. Might just have to give that a try. Does it add much weight to yours?

No I let that one go, maybe next year. It was early in the season and I had some very nice bucks in the area.

Yeah he definitely knew I was there. I was very surprised when he continued to walk less than 20 yards by me.

I’ve been trying to be a little more selective to allow the younger deer to grow out.

They both ended up being a button. I normally don’t like harvesting them but I didn’t realize it at the time and it’s urban hunting so the city wants the numbers to go down.

You are in the running. Urban hunting definitely has its own set of challenges. Try to use the extra foot traffic to your advantage. It could help funnel them down even more.

Hey, there were a few reasons that made me not want to take a follow up shot. The first I thought it was going to go down. When I realized it wasn’t it was 45-50 yards away and I didn’t feel comfortable with the distance and the angle I had presented to me. It was urban and the backdrop behind the deer is someone’s back yard. The last reason I decided against it was there is a hunting boundary line inside the park that gives a buffer between what’s hunt-able and private residential property. The deer was right on if not already passed that boundary.

I did end up harvesting that deer. That’s I’m the one in the video I walked up to on the ground and was able to get another arrow in it.

Was just curious not judging… been out in the woods plenty of times and stuff happens. I also hunt suburban here in NY on Long Island…. Very difficult at times to make a good decision on recovery. Tight properties and as you said boundary lines. Good Luck in the future and stay safe.

@@bownut6115 I hunt Long Island too! I’m 15 and killed two deer but it was upstate. It’s tough getting good spots here.

@@outdoor_tommy07 Keep plugging away!! Public is good, go where no one else wants to. The Deeper the better.

It definitely sucks, but I ended up getting the deer, the shot was good. I just have to learn from it and move forward.

@@iowadeerslayers3599 I hear ya. Anyone who's hunted for many many years has had similar experiences. I'm almost 72. While I've loved bowhunting since I was 20, I've lost the desire to kill anything myself.

@@iowadeerslayers3599 the deer stood around for 5 minutes and then played down for several more before you put a second arrow in her. How was that a good shot?

@@bucksniper65 It obviously wasn't a good shot, I was saying I thought it was good. After recovering the deer and I did recover the deer. The shot was a little low. These things happen when archery hunting.

It was a blast, lots of action. It has taken a little getting used too hunting Urban. I’m very excited to see what next season has to offer!
