This is the fourth part in a series on building a private Cloud Server, where we install Docker and NextCloud and configure NextCloud. I'll be building it on a raspberry Pi 4 8GB with 2 4TB disks in a raid 1 configuration. This video is about how I back up the server or any server to a remote location. Please forgive me as it rambles on a bit. I will plan the next one a bit better.

    • @mr-jack
      @mr-jack 10 місяців тому

      Hi. I was able to get a USB stick working. I didn't try a hard disk. Have you tried using a powered USB-SATA Hub as the router has very little power to give to USB devices. On a slightly different note did you install the MR8300 firmware on your device? The reason I ask is that on my first attempt I actually installed the MR8300 firmware on my EA8300 and it seemed to work ok but the USB and LED lights didn't work. So if you have installed the EA8300 software on your MR8300 that might be why.

    Had a roofer fit some of these a few years ago on my self build and i have just had my first leak, not enough for a drip but discoloured the plaster at top after a cloud burst. Checked it out by standing on a scaffold tower on the inside. There was a lot of leaf debri in the top and side channels that may caused the top to overflow. Looks like cleaning the leaf debri out will be a anuual event. Great video, only one online with any detail about keylite windows.

      You can absolutely still access it if you change the gateway address. I change the network address and even the port in this video ua-cam.com/video/47e8bDtTGFo/v-deo.html. the key thing is to get your computer to recognise that the router address has changed. Sometimes you can do it by simply unplugging and re-plugging the ethernet cable or on windows issue "ipconfig /renew" at the command prompt to get your computer to request a new IP address from the router

    This is a nice little build. Great Job. Have you considered using SSD drives? I picked up a 2TB SSD on Amazon for $56.They don't come that often, but you can find them every once and a while. The reason why I'm saying that is because it will reduce your power consumption a great deal. So much so that you won't need additional power. I used dual 2TB SSD SATA drives on an Argon SATA to USB adapter and it doesn't require any additional power other than what's being pulled from the Pi itself.

    Can Hager Earth terminal take 25mm² conductors?

      Yes, In the video I fit 25mm Live and Neutral with 16mm earth/cpc.

      @@mr-jack so it should be fine if my cpc is 25mm²?

    • @mr-jack
      @mr-jack Рік тому

      @@IAmThe_RA I don't think so my CPC was only 16mm. 25mm cpc will not fit in the special tails grommet. There are 3 holes: 2 large ones which just fit the 25mmr live and neutral and a smaller one which just fits the 16mm CPC.

      @@mr-jack i'm not from the Uk, we have a TT system here so my main 25mm² cpc will go to the DB from the back. I really like Hager DBs produced in England and plan to purchase one online. So my only concern is that if the 25mm² cpc can't fit in the Hager Earth bar.

    It would be great to find a 4 x 8 sheet of phenolic coated plywood here in the states for the price you got yours for, but I have not been able to locate a similar size and price. Good job on replacing your deck.

      Thanks. It's certainly a surprise to hear of supply issues in the states. I am normally jealous of the availability and low prices of items in the US.
