Wow. The constrictor knot (normally, used on bear bags, for hikers to secure their smellables and food items, in a burlap or cotton bag, while hanging the bag, from a tall tree limb [often, the miller's bag knot is used in place of the constrictor knot on bear bags because it does the same thing as the constrictor knot and is just as secure, but adds the ability to untie it if necessary; the miller's knot won't come undone on it's own and has been used in place of the constrictor knot, for hundreds of years, to close off bags of wheat, corn, barley, flour, sugar, coffee, tea, etc within the farming industry). . Nope. I learned how the Chinese manufactures, tie tubes and bands, to pouches, in a mass production facility. I've used their tying process ever since and have never had any band material come undone, from a pouch. . The Chinese don't use a constrictor knot. Their pouch tying process often ends in a square knot or a granny knot (of course, there's a little more to their process, than just a simple, finishing knot). It's strong and the band will fail before the knot will. . As far as your presentation goes: consider demonstrating the constrictor knot on a larger, more colorful piece of rope. This way, your audience can understand how the knot should be tied without needing a magnifying class. . Also, the audience needs to see how the constrictor knot differs from similar knots like the clove hitch (ie two half hitches), strangle knot, and a miller's bag knot (with would work well for the same application that you are using the constrictor knot on). . If using a thicker rope to demonstrate a constrictor knot is not something you can do or comfortable filming/editing for UA-cam, then you can mention that their are around a dozen (free) knot tying apps for smartphones and tablets that will demonstrate the knot far better and easier than the presentation within this video. . Also, let's not forget about the many free websites that teach others how to tie a constrictor knot for free. Constrictor Knot: www.netknots.com/rope_knots/constrictor-knot Double Constrictor Knot: captnmike.com/2011/10/15/double-constrictor/ Lastly, the constrictor knot wouldn't be a knot I would choose. If someone elses tying medium (ie cordage) was as strong and thin, as what you are you are using, it may cause damage to the band/tube, if tied to snug. The constrictor knot is meant secure tightly around something without expanding. This can cause certain types of thin, strong cordage, to cut through softer materials, like latex and rubber. A good example is suture material. If you use the wrong kind of cordage with an ultra tight binding knot, the cordage can cause the skin to tear/rip. The goal when tying latex or rubber to a pouch is to keep the latex or rubber band/tube from falling off without damaging the soft band/tube. The single or double constrictor knots are more often seen within the boating world. Those knots work well there.

Good job Michael. Ill be lucky to get near that score.
you’re getting lots better man. I’m sure you’d do just fine on a 40mm!!!
Great shooting brother. I recently cut my first 2 soup cans. The first can took almost 3 weeks. Throwing everything i had at it. The 2nd one went much faster. Using 9.5 long draw it took about a week. I'm currently working on my 4td and uts already looking ruff.
I like how much longer they last compared to aluminum cans!!!
That's very good shooting especially with that can swinging like that!
Good job, good precision.

Missed the live. My worst noodle was the first one. Missed the first 9 shots. Switched frames and got it on the first try. Took 5 more to get the second and 2 for the last. 17 total. But if I only count after I switched frames it was an 8!🤣😆😂
good job!! I think it was 24 for me. glad its over for sure.

@@mannynieves493 40mm is a super small target for sure!!!
I will definitely give this a try thanks bro!
thanks bud. I use backing line now (less bulk) and it seems to work great. I’ve never had a constrictor knot slip out.
@peaceandslingshots awesome I don't have any trouble with amber belt but I'm always looking for new ways to do things!
Nice shot Michael! Sorry I missed it. I left my phone at home.

@peaceandslingshots nice! I jumped in on your first attempt at the live this morning. But apparently, I set my phone down on the way out. I hope I can get caught up to you guys soon.
