How can someone who has knowledge and stands supposedly for human rights vote liberal? I thought you were a free thinker trying to do what's right for rights, but evidently, you're just a follower. Look at all the wonderful celebrities and politicians who are liberal. You have all the liberals celebrities involved with P Diddy and Ebstein, so exploiting minors for sexual pleasure is okay because these liberal celebrities do it? Why is it liberals don't talk about how some women use abortion as birth control? I had an ex finance that was bipolar she got pregnant. we were borh happy, we planned to have the baby. We bought some things the baby would need. She carried it for over 5 months. She said she was going to visit her parents. Instead, she went and had an abortion. Afterward she cried and said she didn't know what she was thinking, she was so sorry. I stayed with her, forgave her because of her bipolar disorder. She begged to get pregnant again. She got pregnant and did the same thing again, but this time around 3 to 4 months into the pregnancy. That was it for me, i found out later from her aunt that she had done this before in relationships. Liberal thinking says this behavior is okay, liberal thinking is sick and disgusting. Liberal thinking says society should call a man a female if the man wants to be a female but a living baby months old is just trash if a liberal decides they dont want the baby, are you kidding me with such ignorant thinking. I'm not a bible thumper or church goer, but I'm very spiritual and believe in God. Liberal selfishness and self-centered thinking life is their terms without consequences, which will find an eternity of hell as a home in the afterlife. I don't believe the way Born Agains think either since most livied life by their terms knowingly living life wrong but are instantly forgiven when they want forgiven. There are always consequences without we are only mindless creatures. Unfortunately, the law and justice system varies from county, state, and federal. Some counties are more just than others. Our justice system needs a retuning. Those who enforce the law need to be held to the same laws and consequences. I'm not saying all are bad, but I'd say there is a lot that should be behind bars themselves. Everything involves some kind of politics, especially sheriff's departments. Sheriff's departments have too much power, is it really a good idea they control jails? With them in control of jails you run into the issues that Eliza was explaining. Sheriff's departments in rural areas especially have relationships with the county judges and prosecutors office where they can decide the outcomes for the accused. There are true stories of corruption that is kept hidden from society. We just in the last couple years seeing some of the corruption is being exposed. I'd like to know Eliza's take on what I'm taking about, and her ideas to change things for the better.

Absolutely correct! We asked for any bond, mentioned being able to prepare for trial. Judge arrogantly stated that there was no problem if I was in Custody. That was definitely one of the many factors in my unjust conviction. One time the Jail Guards had my lawyer sit in the visiting booth 20 minutes before even calling me up. The lawyers did not want to come to the jail. Minimal meetings, even though they were paid the big bucks I appreciate you letting people know the facts.

Im of the opinion if there's a history of offenses there shouldn't be any bail; but too, there should be a safe space they can be held with their rights intact but no chance of fleeing.

The thing is we absolutely had the technology to keep a track on people. There's zero reason why he can't just have an ankle monitor at home. Everybody knows who he is. He's one of the most recognizable people in the nation right now. And he's clearly not a danger to anybody else except maybe insurance ceos. Which again an ankle monitor would show immediately if he left his property. Let's keep in mind that these detention centers and jails and prisons all make money off of having people in there. I'm not an attorney or a professional in the matter, but from what I've seen just due to my own prison ministries and other personal avenues, at least half the people in jail absolutely don't need to be in there. They could have just paid a fine or they could have just been on medication or it's something that an ankle mod or would have taken care of. Not only would it be more beneficial to the individuals but it would be more beneficial to society and it would be a lot more economical four taxpayer dollars.

While I understand where people are coming from when they want bail reform, I definitely think it’s unwise to allow someone who is charged with a very serious crime and is a high flight risk to just walk free before trial. They ARE technically innocent until proven guilty, regardless of where they spend their time before their trial, because they have not been convicted of guilt by a court. That crime does not show up on their record until an actual conviction. As with many situations like this, I think an alternative space where people awaiting trial could reside would be the best option. A place without the restrictions of jail, but that ensures people won’t be able to flee. Of course, that will never happen because $ but I think it’s the only fair and safe solution.
